just got back from Disney the other day, went to MNSSHP on the 16th and 17th, our tickets were the same both nights, one was soarin and the other...well I cant remember :rotfl: but it was one of the reg. tickets. I really wish Disney would make special tickets for these events. Just an added bit of disney magic, if your ticket had Mickey in a contume on it or even said MNSSHP on it. anyone agree? Disagree?

Probably just using them up. Another thread is taking about how their MVMCP has cool designs. I think we will be losing our APs so we can collect them all. hehe

But I do agree. I was just on Disney's site because we are going to MNSSHP on the 27th and they said the 20th was sold out. How were the crowds while you were there?

if its the thread I am thinking of, those deisngs are just the new designs for the tickets. I just got my annual pass and it has the incredibles on it, my sister got a 4 day pass with mickey and the ghosts on it, but I want tickets that are event only

I understand, I was disappointed with MVMCP tickets the first time we went. I thought they would as least have Mickey and Minnie in winter gear with snow but it was the same as paper tickets. They have even stopped giving out buttons when you arrived.

As much as I enjoyed MNSSHP this year, it seemed like it was less of an event then last year. No more free picture, it seemed like some of the events they had last year were gone, or maybe I didnt see them either of the nights I was there. Seemed like less decorations and the whole party just starts at 7 was disappointing. I still loved going, that parade alone would get me to go again, but it just seemed like they didnt try or do as much as they had last year.

For the price we are paying having a special Ticket should not be a problem.

They know they are going to just sell so many then have some extras for misprints. They could even do this just for preorders on-line or phone . I understand at the parks they would need to have another ticket to keep track of but really .

Sorry, I'm going to disagree. I don't care what my ticket looks like - I'm buying it for the experience. I'd just as soon Disney put the money into the evening, rather than creating a "special" ticket that I'm going to throw away after I've used it.

well from the experience I had this year it seemed like Disney didnt put money into the event, it seemed like much less of an event then previous years (at least to me) and while you may, not everyone is going to throw the ticket away.

While I'd agree that Disney isn't putting as much money into the event as in past years (and I've been going to MVMCP for at least 15 years), I don't see what diverting even more funds to printing special tickets could do the help the situation.

And I never suggested that everybody would throw their ticket away. But if I were to think about it, I'd suspect that the vast majority do. Just my opinion.

hope you didnt take it to mean I thought you did....did that even make sense :rotfl: I know I like to keep most of my 'hard' tickets and use them as bookmarks, they give me a little smile every now and then. And I know plenty of people who use them in scrapbooking. I don't think it would be a major expense for them to do custom tickets, and I think it would just be a nice little touch, IMO.

I also would like to see different ticket media for the parties, since I also keep mine to scrapbook. But I really like the bookmark idea -- I have lots of old photopasses that may be converted to that purpose! :thumbsup2

However, I have to say that I disagree that this year's MNSSHP was less than in the past. Granted, it's only the second year I've attended, but I personally had a much better time than I did in 2005 -- we even went to two parties this year! I did think, however, that the character lines were longer this year, and I'm not sure why that was....and I'll also admit that I would loved to have seen some different characters this year. But I was glad Tarzan was out again, because my pics from last year didn't come out! LOL!

Maybe for someone who knows what it was like several years ago it was less, but I know we had a good time and would love to attend MVMCP someday to compare, too. JMHO!
