Anyone else speculating if they will offer a SoCal ticket deal?

Great deal! I wonder what this will do to crowds in January and February.

I was excited to stumble upon these this morning. My SIL and I had been talking about making a day trip anyway as a belated holiday present to each other, and we'll probably go for the three-day tickets instead. Typically we visit either DL or DCA every year or two, so it'll be fun to have a bit more time to slow down!

Curious what advice folks have about what times to visit within the window? I know we'll want to use at least one of the days around May the Fourth to experience the extra experiences there. Neither of us are really wine people and I'm a vegetarian, so Food and Wine fest may or may not be a priority. Any events or seasons you're planning to catch?
We have no interest in Food and Wine either, we don’t drink alcohol, DH is plant based, and I have to eat a specific diet for IBD. I really enjoy the Lunar New Year festivities! We’ve also spent Easter afternoon and evening at the parks more than once. April in general is a lovely month at Disneyland in terms of the landscaping.

There is almost always a SoCal resident ticket offer during this time period, so I don’t think it will make the crowds that different. We took a break from being annual passholders from January 2019 - October 2024 and just bought MKs last month. We did the SoCal ticket in 2022 and 2023, along with paying for one off days in 2021 and taking a full trip with 5 day parkhoppers in November 2023. In the past when we had annual passes we had friends who would do the SoCal 3 day ticket — it’s pretty much an annual thing so past attendance numbers will reflect that.

Not sure about the 70th. The promotion starts at the end of the holiday season. And during spring break. Pixar Fun Fest and the summer 2024 season started on April 26 through August 4.

Disney’s last quarterly earnings report reported flat Domestic theme park profits and revenue as compared to 2023. Disney wants the extra money thus the promotion.

Question about how the residency verification works -- I'm in northern California, my best friend is in Southern California. After seeing the great price for the resident ticket offer, I'm going to buy tickets so she and her kids can meet me and my kids for a weekend in February (we have Magic Keys). She will be there with her driver's license when we all enter the park together. Her kids are 11 and 12 -- will they just check her residency on her driver's license on their behalf the first time she enters the park with them? We each have one boy, one girl with different interests (e.g., the boys would be happy to bounty hunt and ride Smuggler's Run all day and the girls may want to draw) and I'm anticipating that we will be splitting up several times during the trip. Will it be a problem if I try to enter a park with her daughter or son but not her?

You won’t be able to buy the tickets for your friend’s family because your credit card will have a northern California zip code. Your friend will have to make the purchase. As pp noted, your friend might be asked to show ID during first entry at the gate. You should be fine with the kids.

If I try to purchase So Cal tickets, I get this warning:

Offer valid only for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. Proof of eligible residency is required for both purchase and admission. A valid government-issued photo ID showing an address with a valid ZIP code is required for entry into the park.

can the value unused DL ticket be used towards this? If so, can it be done online/over phone? TIA!
