Anyone else speculating if they will offer a SoCal ticket deal?

I have been waiting to see if they are going to offer another winter SoCal ticket deal for 2025 like they did for 2024. I am wanting to take a trip we had planned for 2023 that had to be delayed a couple of times now. Looking to go in January while my son is on college break and hoping for a discounted 3 day ticket. Anybody have an opinion about this since they just announced the kid ticket deal? Would Disney be doing a kids deal in place of a SoCal offering?

I would assume not since they already announced the children's ticket deal. They probably would have announced the overall ticket deal at the same time.

They could always change course if attendance looks soft early next year.

Disneyland will wait until the quarterly results ending on September 2024 and December 2024. Disneyland did a lot of sales this year. Major refurbs took place and are still in 2024. I do not expect the same level of sales. I expect sales for the Resort Hotels to continue. Disneyland makes a lot of profit from the hotels in Anaheim. Corporate Disney will assess the theme park division operating profit income and make adjustments accordingly.

I hope so! They have been doing these winter/spring SoCal ticket discounts for years and years, sometimes with little notice to us.

I'm hoping, but I wish we could know for sure. I'm in between getting keys for the family this year or just doing the 3 day tickets twice in the year. Unfortunately I have a feeling magic keys will go on sale again before anything is announced for the 3 day ticket promos to maximize profit. Also, with the kids ticket deal, I feel like the 3 day tickets aren't as likely this winter/spring.

I noticed last year it wasn’t announced until late November. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there is a winter deal, not just summer since reports are that parks have been slower in 2024.

I would think a spring offer for So-Cal residents would be available probably around Food and Wine? Not too certain they will offer a Winter So-Cal special, although, and I hate to type this ; January is the 'slow' season. I LOVE to go right after the holidays, because it's so light in comparison to other seasons.

Summer is a bad time to visit. It is too HOT. I can not handle the heat.
I loved going in summer pre-reservations. We had Sig+ passes, would load everyone into the car by 6:30 on Saturday mornings to make 8 a.m. rope drop, leave between 1-2 PM once it was getting too hot and crowded, and hit In N Out on the way home if we hadn’t eaten at RDZ. We did this 2-3 times a month for a couple of years, Saturdays being the only day that really worked for us to go. Reservations are the main reason we don’t have Magic Keys — we always decided the night before.

We have a 5 night trip planned in December at the GCH, but I’m also hoping for a winter 3 day SoCal ticket offer. Last year we didn’t do the offer because everyone (but me) was too busy, and we only went one day in January, but this year at least DH and I could do the 3 day if I add weekends.

Looks like a 2025 is a better deal than 2024 (includes weekends if I’m reading correctly ;).

Slightly different dates- “Tickets are valid January 1 through May 15, 2025” (includes some winter holidays dates! Fun)

Do you have a link to the announcement?

I think you’re right, I clicked through to the point where reservations are made, and it’s weekends and weekdays. We ended up with Magic Keys (and by the end of December we’ll have gone 7 days since buying them in November, so it was a good call). Magic Key sales were halted before my oldest could get one, so maybe this will work for him.

Yes but no one knows what the allotment of reservations are for each day. I suspect during holiday seasons and weekends - the reservation allotment may be somewhat limited.

I agree, which is why I’m trying to get my kid to decide on dates today, before the reservations are gone.

I was excited to stumble upon these this morning. My SIL and I had been talking about making a day trip anyway as a belated holiday present to each other, and we'll probably go for the three-day tickets instead. Typically we visit either DL or DCA every year or two, so it'll be fun to have a bit more time to slow down!

Curious what advice folks have about what times to visit within the window? I know we'll want to use at least one of the days around May the Fourth to experience the extra experiences there. Neither of us are really wine people and I'm a vegetarian, so Food and Wine fest may or may not be a priority. Any events or seasons you're planning to catch?
