Anyone else really dislike the counter service foods?

and my family usually does perfectly fine with the CS meals
We usually go for 6 days adn we do 3 or 4 sit down meals adn the rest CS
we usually go to the same CS places each trip (we're boring like that;) )

MK- cosmic rays (the chicken/rib combo is great as well as the topping bar); Columbia Harbor House adn Caseys Corner
AK- Flame Tree BBQ adn Pizzafari
DHS- Pizza Planet (but we usually do sit down at 50s)
EPCOT-Sunshine Seasons, and Tangerine Cafe
DTD- Earl of Sandwich

We usually order 2 adult meals for 3 of us (all adults) to share
none of us eat 3 full meals at disney....we usually eat cereal at breakfast, share CS lunch adn eat a full CS dinner or eat TS dinner....for the amount of food we eat, it seems insane to always pay for TS

We hated cosmic rays 2 weeks ago the worst burger we ever had.

Columbia Habor House DH had fish dinner I had the tuna sandwich both was good.

Pecos Bills we had the BBq sandwich a couple times VERY VERY good an another time had the taco salad we was able to dr that up from the fixings bar add our own lettuce to it ect an we both liked it.

HS DH had a sandwich an I had a turkey leg neither was bad just OK.

AK we had Flametree BBQ I had the ribs won't order that again DH had the pulled pork I would not have like it as I like my meat to set in the bbq sauce awhile before I eat it.

Epcot we ate at Seasons in the Land we had chicken dinner with mashed taters an green beans it was NASTY never again and we did not like the fact that you could not get large drink there.

YES I do think the counter service food has went down hill the last few years we go again in June think I'm gonna try to talk DH into takin a frigde we got one we could take OR I'm goin to come up with some meals that I can take along an make real quick that doesn't require fridge like the tuna in the pouch thingy that comes with the fixins, jar of peanut butter, mayebe some of the shelf dinners that don't need fridge an heat them in microwave in food court.

I gotta say disney needs to do something about the food thing or more an more ppl gonna be taking crockpot to use in room something I haven't done yet but it's gettin more tempting.

The food has been going downhill lately at both CS and TS. We eat at a park or resort at least once a week. Or we used to:)

We still like CHH in the MK (Lighthouse sandwich, veggie chili or clam chowder.)
I like the taco salad at Pecos Bills since I can add a lot of fixings. The veggie burger is like rubber. Regular burgers at CS are like a leather shoe tounge:)
I like Flame Tree BBQ (AK) but have not been in a while so do not know if it is still good.
Staring Rolls has been decent for sandwiches/desserts but for the price we can split a cobb salad in the Brown Derby and pay less than 2 sandwiches at DHS.
Used to like Tangerene Cafe's veggie platter but the portions are tiny now (and I never eat a lot.) The falaffel is a better deal.
The bakery in France is good still. The sushi in Japan and the hot dogs in Germany are awful. :crazy2:
WL (Roaring Forks) has a great salad and veggie sandwich and we go there a lot.
Love the soup (same as Boma) at the Mara (AKL.) They also have Zebra Domes.

We really like Cosmic Rays at MK--I fell in love with the barbecued pork sandwich with eclipse chips and my DH really, really liked the turkey wrap

Same here, we really loved it and wants to go back again and again. It's in our list for the next trip.

Have a nice day. :)

I've looked at the menus for DHS and it really seems to be lacking something decent as far as CS goes. Comments here seem to suggest the same thing. I'm starting to wonder if we are going to be able to eat here. Any thoughts on Starring Rolls?

I don't like counter service restaurants either, but we don't have the time (and appetites) to eat at TS 3 times a day.

So we usually just share our cs meals and snacks to tie us over until dinner at the TS restaurants.:thumbsup2
