We have a DS3, just turned 3 about 2 weeks ago. He made his first trip to Disney in October. Before we went, he would watch ZERO TV, and I mean ZERO. (Not that its bad). We stayed at AKL SV Jambo and since we returned he can not get enough of anythink Mickey Mouse! I mean we watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at least 4 times per day. He now has Mickey Sheets, about 7 pairs of Pajamas, shirts, pants, pretty much anything you name, he has!

Is anyone else raising (and I know on here you are!) such big "Disney Junkies"

That's him with his Bug's Life Glasses!

Definitely! DD6 has been 8 times, and is quite the little Disney expert. Adults use her for vacation advice, I kid you not! DD2 is also quite the little junkie - he asks me to show him the monorail that is at the bottom of Diser's signatures at least a million times a day - LOL!

Our kids love Disney, as we do, and being DVC members does help fuel the fire! Tiger :)

My daughter is so obsessed with being DVC and talked about it so much last year...her teacher wound up joining!!! In fact..I've seen her teacher here on this board!

I am raising 2 DD's that are Disney Junkies. My oldest is already planning her Sweet 16th in Disney. Still 2 years away. i told her if she is serious about going for her birthday then she can bring a friend. My youngest best friend just moved to Iowa and is trying to talk us into meeting them in Disney this year.

Happy to hear that there are others out there like us!

We took our son on his first WDW trip when he was only 4 months old - people thought that we were crazy. He was there 3 times by the time he was a year old. We find WDW such an easy place to be with a little one. That's why we made the decision to buy into DVC right before Christmas. Taking 3 trips a year starts to get expensive!

We are actually watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now! Our little one loves the Hot Dog Dance!

Happy watching!:goodvibes

Yes, my two DDs 8 and 12 have been now 15 times and can't wait to go back. They have become quiet the resort snobs though. We just got back last night. We had planned to stay on the road Saturday night coming into WDW, but made good time and went all the way into Orlando. I called and got a room at ASMo for the night. DH and I were reminiscing about that being the first hotel we stayed at, etc. They both were like, "What, here?? Uggg...." We just laughed at them. We stayed at the Dolphin this time on points, but let me tell ya, we missed our one bedrooms!!

My oldest DD loves old Mickey stuff, like Steam Boat Willie and DD 8 is a Tinkerbell junkie. They are already talking about buying points when they get grown to take us.:thumbsup2

Haha!! I have the opposite!! Our 15 yr old DD enjoys our vacations, but DH and I are such "Junkies"....(I am on this website DAILY).... that she thinks we have a serious problem!:rotfl:

Our DS12 however....shares our addiction for the "Mouse" and watches Youtube of Monorails and Splash Mountain daily!!;)

At least we have one Diehard!:thumbsup2!

I am trying to convert both DH and DD but so far they have avoided becoming addicted. :sad2: Oh well, since I "drag" them down every year or two eventually it should happen. Meanwhile they are allowing me to indulge my addiction.

DD made her first trip at 10 months old and now 7 trips later is riding space mountain! She loves it, and stillthinks that unless you're at the mk you're not at Disney. DS is well on his way to being a full blown addict. At 17 months he has been twice and loves the characters. At CP for breakfast he could'nt sit still, it was if his head was on a swivel as he watched "bear" and "tidder".

DD was 7 and DS was 5 on their 1st trip. We have been at least 15 trips with most of those being on pts. DD is 17 now, and though she still enjoys going she doesnt get as excited, but DS is 15 and still gets giddy about it like he is 5 again. I think DD will be that way again when she is a bit older and realizes how much it really affected her life.

We can relate, this morning my 4 year old DD was in her cinderella pajamas playing with her little princess figurines. She was having her dolls get on the bus with snacks to go to their home in Walt Disney World:rotfl2:

Moved to Iowa??? On Purpose??? :rotfl2: I live in Iowa and that is the reason I own DVC, this place is COLD right now!

I have 2 junkies I am raising. My DS3 asks me to lie in bed with him before he goes to sleep to tell me what he wants to do in WDW, where we should stay, what he is tall enough to ride now, etc. The first thing my DS7 asks me every morning is how many days are left. They are all over this obssession their mommy and to a lesser degree daddy have over WDW.

Oh yes. DS just turned 4 and has been to WDW twice in the last year. He loves it. He was obsessed with Mickey Mouse before he went to Disney, but since going it has become an even bigger obsession. He remembers everything from both trips and will sometimes remind us of something we had forgotten that he saw or that happened there.

We went in September and he has finally stopped asking use if he can go back multiple times a day.

Too bad I can't get DH to like it, but he will tolerate a trip every couple years. So for now I use our DVC to go with friends and DH joins once in a while.

Arthur, that picture of your son is one of the cutest I've seen! Out of my three adult children, my middle child, son, age 28, is the true Disney junkie, and he has turned his wife into one! My kids have been to Disney more times than I can count, starting at age 4. My oldest son, age 30, likes it, but isn't obsessed, and the youngest, my daughter, age 24, loves Disney, but I can't call her a junkie yet either. She actually left our December vacation a few days early so she wouldn't miss her birthday party with friends. Go figure!

LOl not to warm here in NH either but the cost of living is much cheaper in Iowa.

My DD12 is my only Disney "junkie," she has read The Unofficial Guide cover to cover, she likes to help decide on ADRs, and other planning. Her three younger brothers could care less, although they like to go to WDW, they have no interest in books or planning.

Our entire family are Disney junkies.DD 12 and DS 11 only talk about Disney trips. They can tell you every hidden Mickey of Splash Mountain as well as the quickest way to Expedition Everest at rope drop. My friends ask if the only place we ever go is Disney because that is all my kids ever talk about. We actually do go on other trips but none are ever talked about like our trips home. Right now the topic of choice is where we will eat our first night there in less than 2 weeks. All I can say the way things are now I am thankful my kids are Disney junkies.:goodvibes

I'm not raising her, but was instrumental in introducing my now 20 year old cousin to WDW when she was 5, I've taken her to WDW over the years and on the 13th of January she enters the Disney College Program. I am so excited for her!
