Anyone else raising "Disney Junkies"?

My 33 year old son is still a Disney junkie. His first trip to Disneyland was when he was 1 year old, 2 1/2 years old for his first trip to Walt Disney World.
He followed me to Florida 8 years ago and is now a VIP tour guide at the Magic Kingdom. My parents raised a Disney junkie, and I raised a Disney junkie. Nothing wrong with that!

I can't say I was a junkie but as a child I LOVED Dopey and then as I got older he became my "mascot" when DH and I started dating Toy Story was released and we started on a Disney movie adventure!! DH had been to Disney as a child I had not. He wanted to go to WDW on our honeymoon but I was afraid to fly !!! When we had our oldest DD she LOVED the princesses - anything princess!! But Mulan was her favorite - she would go around the house acting out the movie and singing the songs. When she was 2 we decided to plan a trip to go that Dec. I found out I pregnant with DD #2 in July and took our first trip with DD2.5 and baby on the way. We had the BEST time and fell in love!!! It took one more trip to decide this is were we wanted to go for at least the forseeable future and we bought DVC shortly after!!

Both our DDs have Disney rooms - DD5 has princesses and DD2 Pooh and Friends. DD2 who has red hair will tell anyone she IS Ariel!! We love it!!

My daughter first went to WDW when she was 20 months old. For many years we were fortunate to be able to visit twice a year - we own DVC. She is 21 this year and can still cry when she hears 'When you Wish Upon a Star' and is counting hours until our trip on February 1st. I hope that magic never leaves her - it neve left us!

I was raised by Disney Junkies, raised 2 Disney Junkies and currently waiting to take my DGD to Disneyland for her afternoon walk. My parents loved Disney, use to pile my cousins into the back of the station wagon before seatbelts and drive from Northern California to LA and pick up 3 more cousins in Culver City. We would open the park and close the park at midnight. I started taking my oldest when she was 4 months old. my youngest went to WDW when she was 6 weeks old. My DGD went to DL when she was 7 weeks old and rode IASW. My youngest is now 21 and just completed 7 months in WDW with the College Program and wants to go back to do a Professional Internship at the Animal Kingdom. My oldest is now 25 with a 2 month old and an DLR AP. Her DH is not a junkie yet, received his first Disney coffee mug for Christmas Our next whole family WDW Disney trip is in Dec 2011, week at SSR and DCL. Meanwhile, loving our Disneyland trips.

Disney junkies here and disney junkie kids. My dd celebrated her 16th in WDW with three of her friends.

My oldest son (24) last year took his girlfriend and I just booked BCVs for them today for the Food and Wine Festival in October.

I have 3 teenagers and I have yet to talk them into Universal Studios. We have gone to city walk. They kind of like it but they say it's just not quite like Disney. Where ever we go they compare it to Disney, especially the hotels and restaurants. They are just plain spoiled!I think we've doomed them with paying for a lifetime of very expensive vacations when they get older .:laughing

Mine too. We went to IOA and US last Jan. as part of our WDW trip. This was our 1st time at those parks. They were OKAY....but they really didn't do it for any of us really. At the time our dd was 18, ds 15 and ds 10. They could probably go every 5 years maybe to US or IOA.

DS is 4 and just made his second trip in Sept. Preschool teacher has actually commented to me about his excessive talk of WDW.

I have 2 junkies I am raising. My DS3 asks me to lie in bed with him before he goes to sleep to tell me what he wants to do in WDW, where we should stay, what he is tall enough to ride now, etc. The first thing my DS7 asks me every morning is how many days are left. They are all over this obssession their mommy and to a lesser degree daddy have over WDW.

I originally read DS 23, and not DS3 !

I was kind of disturbed there for a minute! Twenty years sure makes a difference on that kind of stuff! Whew!

My DGD is 9 months and has been a junkie since the birth. As soon as she hears the hot dog dance she starts moving her feet. She's been to wdw @ 3 months, 6 months, next visit this month and then for her 1st birthday.

DS4 is well on his way, too! We recently returned from 5 days/4 nights over Marathon Weekend and when the towncar pulled into the Boardwalk driveway, he announced "We're HOME!" Gotta love it!

He's also become fixated with the large bathtub in our 2 BDRM villa and talked about it the whole trip!

At the end of our trip, he kept asking "Why do we have to go home?" and "I dont' WANT to go home!" I know how he feels......

when my boys hit the tween (im way too cool for my own good) age, they started lobbying to hit Universal. All proclaiming that Disney was a little kids' park. I finally acquiesed & it's now a typical part of our routine (pricey DVC Fri & Sat)

I was shocked when my youngest requested an all disney trip after a quick 'bonus' visit to WDW 2 days last july. Thinking the prodigal son had returned home (& my points given away to another DS for a trip); I booked free DP offer. He fooled me, just didn't want to have to change resorts during the week

my DSs r happy w/the parks once a year so I try to work in other vacations to keep everybody happy.
