Anyone else planning this far ahead? Fall 2005 trip!

I'm currently planning a Family Reunion trip for Sept.2005. I've recently enlisted the help of one of my cousins and we can hardly wait. Most of them have never been, so it's gonna be great!

(Ahh, the power of positive thinking! )

We leave in 6 days to go see DS & his high school choir perform, so that is mostly on my mind right now, but I have some work to do for the Family Reunion trip while down there, too, such as gather maps and get postcards for the kids signed by characters with the message "Can't wait to see you!" on them, or something like that!

Currently planning for Dec. 2006, and alas, it's the only trip in the works. But it's gonna be a doozy! It's a meet for a big group from another (non-Disney) website.

Well I'll be turning 38 on December 3rd 2005 and that just happens to be a Saturday so I'm thinking about doing the 7 night cruise followed by 4 nights at WDW.... my dh will no doubt be all doom and gloom and such- but that gives me quite some time to plan and save.... totally doable in my humble opinion.

I have been planning for the past two months I am glad I am not the only one that gets this excited! Last July My 2 DS'S(14,11) went on our first trip to Disney World. My DH could not go with us because he went back to school for diagnostic ultrasound( he wants to specialize in newborns) well after three long years he graduates this summer and will actually start making money.Sooooo of course I would love to take him to a place that meant so much to my sons and I.(stayed at CBR) and every night we would sit in the hammocks on the beach and watch the epcot fireworks and I missed him so much (Really hard to be in such a romantic setting without the one you love by your side)So now that we will actually have an income I can actually plan and plan I have!!!2 weeks, 4 nights POFQ, 4 nights CS, and 5 nights POLY( my youngest DS will turn 13 at the POLY. Hope they have some good codes come out for then. Good Luck to all you Planners out there and may a little pixie dust touch us allPS( I need to ad that I am so very proud of my DH !!!!)

Yay! Great to see so many planning trips so far ahead! I'm jealous of those going a couple times in the next two years -- I'd love to plan back-to-back trips for the next couple years, but convincing dh that this one trip is doable is enough trouble as it is! I will hope to get back to Disney 2 or 3 years after this trip.

Thanks for the info about the reservations. I think I will book as early as possible then and keep an eye out for any better deals.

Mkpat, I've gone twice in early to mid November and it's wonderful -- there are no crowds, we hardly had to wait more than a few minutes for anything. The only disadvantage is that both times I was there, the weather wasn't very warm -- 50s-60s -- so not warm enough for a water park. But being from Michigan, that kind of weather in November is good enough!

Mimimom, congrats to your dh! Glad that you will all be able to go together next time!

We are in the planning stages of 2005 Disney cruise with an attached stay at OKW for the 4th of July. We are waiting until August to book though.

Not *quite* that early, but I've been planning our May 2005 trip for about 6 weeks now, so I'm right there with ya! My main reason is about the same as yours, to get a good idea of basically how much this is going to cost; you can never get an exact total of course, but a good estimate! Now i've found that these boards (and the books, lol) are extremely addicting.

I'm planning on making our reservations in August or Sept (when we can pay for the deposit, rather than put it on a cc), and go from there.
