Anyone else out of snow days?

Our school has missed it's 3 days now and we will have to make up the rest. It's still icy and snowing so it looks like another day tomorrow! We are schedule to leave for the World on 5-28 one day after school is out, so we will have to shorten our trip, we really don't want to go later in June because it is SO crowded. Plus DD likes to take summer school for extra credits. The new governor wanted to put it back to 5 snow days but it won't be until next year!

Our district quit building snow days in years ago. So far we've missed and have to make up 8 (1 will be made up on Easter break, the rest added to the end). School was supposed to be out May 16th, last day will now be May 26th. We leave for Disney May 28th

Indianapolis..Yes we are on our 3rd day of school closings for tomorrow. We are now pushing the school year out 2 days now.

ETA...3 days only this week. We are up to 5 total with 3 flex days built into the school year.

We're working on snow day #8 here in Connecticut (and possibly another for tomorrow.)

Our last day of school is scheduled for June 23rd (with five make-up days.) Now we're going to have to make up 3 additional days in April (our spring recess.)

No snow days left here either! DD14 is in High School and DS9 is in 4th grade, both schools had 3 snow days built in and today both schools used their last snow day. The paper work I got from each of the schools at the beginning of the year says that if excess snow days need to be made up those days would be taken away from spring break (Easter). My kids have off different weeks for Easter (DS is off April 11-15)(DD is off April 18-22) so we weren't planning to really do anything anyway.
I really hope they don't add on at the end of the year because we are planning to leave for Florida on the night of June 24th which is the day DS gets out of school (DD gets out the 23rd). Only spending a couple of days in Disney so DS can spend his 10th birthday there which is on the 27th, then we are heading over to the gulf coast to visit family.

I'm in Jersey. We just used our 5th snow day today. We had 3 built in. We have now lost President's Weekend (Fri. & Mon.). The next day we use they will start cutting into our Spring Break. It is so depressing!!!

We're up to five snow days now. There is talk of Saturdays and or April vacation if we have anymore days.

We are also out of days. I'm not sure what the plan is. We still have 3 teacher inservice days left (one in Feb, March & April). I think before they extend the school year, those days will be regular school days.

WOW. eating into spring break...that's harsh! Once the flex days are used up, our district automatically tacks any other days to the end of the school year. We do not interrupt spring break or standard holidays. Everyone here knows not to schedule summer vacations the first week of summer. lol

Yes and today was our first "give back" day. I'm so mad because of the way they schedule them, instead of starting at the beginning or end of our Spring Break week, they scheduled them for every other day of it. My kids already have to go to school on the Monday but if they have to give back another it will be on the Wednesday and then that Friday. That makes no sense and I was hoping to schedule a trip to Colonial Williamsburg for either the beginning or end of the week and now I can't. If we use up the Spring Break days, our Memorial Day Friday is a give-back.

We have to make up all snow days. We've already lost President's Day and are down to only 2 days off for Easter. Anymore days will be taken off Easter. I can't imagine almost three months without a day off - including 2 weeks of PSSA testing! Not happy with the weather this winter!

We have used 2 snow days and had either 2 or 3 delayed openings. (including today) We have 3 built in emergency days, and according to the calendar we will add on to the end of the year if we exceed that.

I know for us that isn't done because it is contractual.

We don't have any snow days built in here and are now into the end of the first week of June, and have added two days back that were scheduled off as well. Hoping winter ends soon so we don't have to go into the second week! They were originally supposed to get out May 26th!

We used 3 this week - the only 3 for the year but we only had 2 days for make-up so I'm not sure what day they want the kids to come in - I'm sure I'll get a note or the bus driver will let me know

I am in Texas too! I heard we might get a waiver from the state. I hope so!! Most people won't send there kids on the make-up days anyway. Especially if it is Good Friday or Spring Break.

We had day 5 today. Our district has 3 built into the calendar so we'll be making the last two up at the end of the year.

We have had 4 snow days. If we use all our days, which I think we have at 4, the last day of school is 6/1 for about 3 hours. We leave for Disney that night so if it gets pushed back, mine will not be in school. I think they start taking spring break next so it shouldn't be an issue hopefully. We have a timeshare gift from family & SW sale tics so we really can't rearrange the dates.

I'm in a different district & we lost our day off in March because of snow. Bummer because I was looking forward to a day home when my kids were in school! My spring break is late April & theirs is early April so it'll be a long time before the next break.

Here in MA we have used 7 snow days already!!! No talk of taking anything away yet...our last day is now set for June 29th!!! We are going to Disney for April vacation whether its taken away or not
