Anyone else not really care about view?

I always book standard view no matter where we stay to save a little money. One day, I would like to book Boardwalk view, but haven't yet.

That is us exactly! We always stay at the Poly, never request a specific building. We also like the surprise of seeing where we end up. We book the cheapest room (standard view). Cheaper room = more nights for us! Plus at the Poly it is very rare to get a bad view. This was our last standard/garden view, in Fiji.

What a gorgeous view!!

We have only stayed onsite once but I can see us not really caring about views either....we did standard view at poly and loved our view!! I actually thought we were upgraded to lagoon view but they never said anything so I doubt it....but the view was that good and it spoiled us for staying onsite!!!

We are trying CR or GF next trip and I am not thinking of doing view there either UNLESS I can afford TPV at CR closer to trip time!!! if not garden wing here we come !

All rooms look the same when your eyes are closed sleeping!!! At the end of a Disney day...sleeping is not a hard thing to do!

I do like having a nice view. But, it's not the main thing for us. Like others have said, we tend to reserve a Standard View to save money. We've even given up a room with a nicer view before. Once we had a nice woodsy view from a YC room, but it was too dark, so we requested another room. The room we got overlooked the roof the Porte Cochere. It was much brighter so we kept it. The only thing that I didn't like was that the first room had a day bed and our second one did not.

If there was some kind of specific view to be had (such as Savannah View at AKL or Theme Park View at Contemp) then I'd care about it, but definitely not the usual garden/pool/water view situation. I'm like a PP in that I don't even open my curtains - all I see of the "view" is when I'm walking in and out my room door! And since we don't stay Deluxe at the moment, I'm fine with wherever we're put.

Exactly!

I didn't care about views either until a situation where I now spend a lot more time in the room. It helps to have a balcony with a great view. Otherwise I agree on saving the money.
