Anyone else not like horror movies/haunted houses?

I'm sure there is a lot of us! I used to hate the line at Kong at Universal when they had scare actors in the line jumping out at you.

I saw the original Halloween movie with a boyfriend in HS, hated it. Saw Poltergeist with college roommates, that one gave me nightmares. I sometimes avert my eyes during movie previews in the theater.

Not a fan. Went through a very dark and graphic haunted house in Niagara Falls (?) with my parents when I was about 6yo. Hands reaching out and grabbing me, disturbing scenes much too mature for kids... parents made me keep going till the end. I finished sobbing tears. Was awful, and have avoided those experiences ever since.

I am not a fan of horror movies. I am not a fan of haunted houses created by the living for the sole purpose of scaring others. I prefer a calm, peaceful life, without huge bursts of adrenaline.

I have no issues with being in a building that allegedly has spirits who roam within. I have stayed in hotels where there have been sightings of spirits and supernatural phenomena. I have visited historic sites that are reported to have spirits attached, although I have not seen any. My mom saw a spirit in the house I grew up in.

I have a very heightened startle reflect, like if I’m on the treadmill in the basement please announce you are coming down the stairs. Haunted houses are definitely off the table. I do not like horror movies, but I like mentally scary (Stephen king is my favorite author, used to stay up reading because I couldn’t put books down).

Not a fan. Although in the case of movies, not many out there of any theme that interest me.

I like classic horror, think of the Universal horror movies of the 30s, and silent horror like The Phantom of the Opera with Lon Chaney and Nosferatu. Genuinely creepy, which I don't mind. Most of the horror movies of today are just jump scares and murder films.

I loathe haunted houses and haunted hayrides or whatever. I last went on one at Knoebel's because it was an old dark ride and I was curious (Knoebel's 'rescues' older attractions from various parks around the world and gives them new life.) It was really scary and I didn't like it at all.

I didn't used to mind horror movies, now they gross me out and I skip them.

Not a fan of haunted houses, someone scared the heck out of in one when I was younger and that was the end of them for me

Not a fan either. The only times I can remember either watching horror movies or going to haunted houses was because friends were going (or I had to accompany one of my kids when they were younger).

Psychological thrillers I like.

Blood and guts horror I don't.

Don't do haunted houses either (other than the Disney mansions).

Honestly I don't get the obsession (sorry, "fascination") with Halloween either.
