Anyone else NOT like Grey's Anatomy?

Everyone I talk to is obsessed with it so I watched a few episodes last season...and I got extremely bored after a few. It seems so over dramatic and the same sort of things I saw happening each episode...zzzzz.

I'm sick of hearing about it!

I don't like it either. Not that I don't think some of the comic bits are funny, its just that the medical situations are so freaking unrealistic and the background pop music annoys me. Kind of like watching a bad music video. I do love Sandra Oh though.

LOL! Me! I don't like it either. I must have tried to watch some bad episodes or something, because the parts of the shows I saw were over acted and overly dramatic, very much downer shows. Not for me!

The Office and My Name is Earl ... now those are good shows.

I've never seen it. I've also never seen Sex and the City or Desperate Housewives. Not one single episode.

My reason is probably a strange one... I cannot STAND the way some of the people SPEAK!!! Ellen Pompeo's little girl voice and McDreamy's girly voice just give me the ultimate creeps!!

I have to care about the characters to get into the show and this show doesn't make me care. Another complaint, no main black female character in the same sexual roles as the white ones. Just my observation, I'm sick of the absence of black females from "woman" roles, except on the CW!

If I had a choice between Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal then Grey's Anatomy would win hands down.If I didn't have a choice then no it's not my favorite tv show.

They have a black woman surgeon (and she had a baby with her husband). They have another black male surgeon in a sexual role. An asian woman surgeon in a sexual role. A latino woman surgeon in a sexual role. That's pretty diverse and sexual.

ROTFLOL! Robin! I had the same dislike of the voices of some of the actor/actresses! That's hysterical! To ... me ... they ... all ... seemed ... mono-toned ... or babyish! That's so funny!

i am so glad this thread is on here! people think i'm crazy bc i don't like this show. but i have to say, it's all bc of ellen pompeo. i cannot look at her while she talks or listen to her. i can't stand her mouth, lol. also, i saw her on punk'd and she was such a witch it really turned me off. but i do think mcdreamy is hot, i love him from back in the "can't buy me love" days. LOL

Robin, I totally understand what you're saying. But, I must admit, speaking as a black female actress, I am happy with what they DO have. It is very encouraging to see so many people of color as the stars, as well as those featured in the weekly medical stories. And the fact that's it not on FOX (or CW) and is a number one show - well, just WOW - look how far we (black female actresses) have come. Your point is valid though, and I only hope that Shonda will eventually place us in those types of story lines in the future. But, on a personal note, I wish they could cut down on some of the sex - good grief! It's starting to overshadow the medical stories.

I've watched it once and couldn't get into it. It just seems like the same old hospital drama stuff that I've seen in countless shows over the years, nothing to make me watch.

Boston Legal may not have alot of 'sex' but there is alot of sexual content.
I think William Shatner is a pig in that show....and his colleague too.

We hate it. Like a bad adult soap opera disguised as an evening drama, with all of the same bad acting, bad writing, and overblown sex content to make up for said bad acting and bad writing - otherwise I'm convinced nobody would watch it.

I rank it right up there with CSI: Miami on the scale of bad shows.
