Anyone else not have a tree up yet?

artificial tree has been put together but no lights yet

Definately not feeling the Christmas spirit - returned home Tues from 5wks in Florida. We just started divorce proceedings.
Maybe the Christmas spirit will return next year when Im living in Florida

The tree is not up yet. I don't know where to put it and I haven't had time. I hadn't really cared either, except that I went to WDW last weekend and I bought like 3 new ornaments so now I want to put up the tree so I can display them LOL. :rotfl:

I will probably put up the tree tomorrow, assuming I can find a place to put it tonight!

No tree yet, that is going up on Sunday. All the presents bar 1 have been bought & wrapped though.

2 trees up & done. All gifts purchased, cards out, outside decorated. It's all been done since 12/11...right before we went to WDW.:santa:

No tree here, no presents. I just don't care, don't want to bother putting up the tree because then it becomes a bone of contention about putting it down again. Just want to skip it all, and keep my savings account from dipping drastically like it usually does around this time of year.

I just see Christmas as extra work and a money-losing experience. I just can't seem to care anymore. :(

Tree is up.. yesterday I started shopping I have exactly 5 presents bought. About 30-40 more to go.. I'm shopping tomorrow and then I'll be one of those insane people out there on christmas eve.. I'm usually done by black friday.. not this year :( Oh wait Patrick might have bought one today.. so that will be 6 bought whoohoo! I'm on a roll.

Yes, our tree is up. Kudos to my wife!

My brother-in-law died November 29th. As such, we have not felt much like celebrating Christmas, save for the original purpose of the day. We shall all attend church that day and give thanks to God for the life we were able to experience with my brother-in-law.

My wife, the day after the memorial service, decorated the house as per custom. At first I was rather mad; then, as the days went by, I realized her wisdom. My dear brother-in-law would have wanted us to celebrate Christmas, as well as each other.

My dear sister (wife to said brother-in-law) said that she is keeping Christmas. She has not put up a tree (that was his job), but she is looking forward to seeing her children and grandchildren on Christmas Day. Her home will be filled with laughter and joy on that blessed day, although one voice will be missing. Yet, his voice will be represented in his children. At the memorial service I got up and talked about how he lives on in his six children, and so he will, for decades at least, be represented.

Sorry for my ‘downer’ message in this thread about Christmas trees. Yet I feel better about it.

Me. And there won't be one put up. Wish I could have one though. :(
No presents bought yet either.

Aww, CT... why no tree if you want one?

We have no tree up yet which is a first for us this late in the season, but son #1 flies home late tonight from college (!!!) so I've been making myself wait until tomorrow so we can all do it together. Man, I'm PYSCHED! Haven't seen him since August. :)

My DH has been unemployed since June, so we really didn't buy many presents this year. I have to say, it's been quite liberating. For once, I can really enjoy the season. :goodvibes

No tree this year as we have an insane cat. No telling what she would do.

Most present bought, just need to get a couple more stocking stuffers.

The tree is in the living room with lights on it but nothing else until DS gets home from college so we can all decorate it together!

No tree up. I'm not going to put it up since I have too many young cats and they toppled it several times last year and, I think, the year before too.

Have bought presents and have them wrapped. But still have to get some more....
