Anyone else NOT doing Black Friday??

I didn't go anywhere. I'd rather pay full price.

I stayed home eating leftovers while watching Youtube videos of past Black Fridays. You know, videos of people getting trampled, fighting, etc...good times.

I never do black friday. Heck, we've pretty much eliminated doing any holiday shopping at this point. Its cash for the nieces & nephews and thats it. None of us do gifts for adults any longer.

BOY, has THAT eliminated a TON of stress off everyone's holidays.

Now I'm just trying to figure out at what age a niece goes from "niece / nephew" category to adult category & no longer gets money. She's in college, so for now I'll continue because I think she can use it.

According to MSNBC, a Wal-Mart worker was killed by the crowd coming into the store when the doors first opened and customer miscarried due to being knocked down by other customers.

That was here on the island and the pregnant woman is fine but the worker was killed.

From now until Christmas I will likely purchase a few items on line (that I can only find there) and whatever else I need/want will be purchased the week "of" Christmas.. The retailers are in a terrible bind this year and as Christmas draws closer, you will likely see deals unlike anything you have ever seen before - even those lovely "Black Friday" deals that people are willing to commit murder over in order to insure they and their families have a "Merry" Christmas..

for the very first time in my life.. i have experienced black friday! what sale? i didn't see anything interesting that is marked down. never again, it's not worth it.

We didn't really... though we sorta did because we went to the outlet mall last night at midnight but there were no crowds or crazy doorbusters with limited supplies.

I've done many BF's and have never had anything other than a pleasant time. However, I hate getting up early (would rather shop until 4am instead of get up to shop at 4am) and there really wasn't any good deals this year.
