I have to admit I am disappointed that Disneyland is doing this promotion 5 days for the price of 3. My young family can only handle 3 days at the parks. I would much rather have Adults pay kids prices or the BEST- buy one Adult get a child free.

Is this just me though? :confused3

Not sure if it's just you, but I like any promotion I can get and the 5 for the price of 3 sounds great to me.

Too bad they didn't have a "5 nights for the price of 3 at a DLR hotel" promo to coincide with the "5 for 3" ticket promo.;) :woohoo:

See that was the other thing. We normally leave Monday morning, go to the parks Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and drive home on Friday. If I have 5 days, then I feel like I need to get the most out of my tickets so I would want to spend more on hotels. Going to Disneyland after 6-7 hours of driving... If they would have had the hotel promotion with it, it would have really helped me fall in love with the idea.

We most likely are not going to go this next spring though because my "baby" will be 14 months old. We have done Disneyland at that age and it was our least enjoyable visit.

Well, just bc I get it doesn't mean I'll use it. It's Disney's way of getting us to buy 2 more days of souvenirs & food! We don't have to buy into that. ;)

We get into town on Thursday (after driving all day). We go to the parks Fri, Sat & Sun. We drive home Monday......unless I can convince DH to go in one more time before we leave to go on a favorite ride!!! You know, run over - go on the ride - run back to the already packed car & take off! :thumbsup2

I'm cool w/ 5 days......just in case. Just in case DH says, "To heck with work! Let's stay 2 more days!!!!!" Uh, yeah right.

So confused. So Disneys 5 day adult ticket $189 and 5 day child ticket $159. Is the 3 day ticket price?
Thanks
Jen

What's crazy is that people aren't getting a really good deal with $$ saving that is. First of all, it doesn't cost THAT much more $$ to upgrade to a 3,4 and so on park hopper. They're only doing this so the hotels can get more money. What is it, 15? 20, 40 bucks you're saving? What about the extra $$$ you'll be spending on the hotels? :rolleyes1

 When I first read the promotion I thought it was 5 park hopper tickets for the price of 3. Only three adults in my party and I thought "Wow, I can give the extra two to my friend and her husband."

Now THAT would be a '5 for 3' promotion! I like the way you think!:goodvibes

I really like the deal. We are getting into Ahaheim on Wednesday and leaving Sunday.....now I don't have to worry about feeling cheated by paying for two full days that will only get used for a few hours.

Heehee.....only 7 more sleeps! :cool1:

What I would probably do with that (if I only wanted to go 3 full days), would be to use one day on the day we arrive. Then go for the 3 full days. Then use the last day for a few hours in the morning before going home. None really wasted that way, yet I didn't spend a full 5 days in the park.

Were kind of doing that next week. Well we have season passes, but my Mom and brother who are coming along have 4 day hoppers. We plan on using one day for the day we arrive (probably get there around 2pm). Then spend the next 3 days in the park.

This is from January 7- April 24, 2008. Check Disneyland's website.

You purchase a 3 day at $139/169 and you get 2 days free. It is the same for aa 4 day pass $154/184 and a 5 day pass $164/194.

I think it's a great promotion!
We were planning on going for 5 days, so it's made our tickets cheaper... Anything that turns out cheaper for me is great! :thumbsup2

BUT- if they were doing their normal "adults pay kids prices" promotion, it woudl be cheaper for you. Instead of $169 you would only pay $164 which is the child's 5 day pass.

I spose, but $5 isn't much. We bought our tickets about 2 weeks ago when the Australian $ was worth 85c American, now the Australian $ is 89c, so if I was too concerned about $5 I'd be kicking myself for not waiting... But hey. It happens. So I'm happy that there IS a promotion. :)

We are excited about it! It made us to decide to extend our trip for 6 nights!

I agree with the OP. Why not offer "Everyone Gets To Be A Kid" prices, with everyone paying the kid's price?

We found 3 days to be about right for DL/DCA, so the two free days would go unused.
