Anyone else LIKE El Rio Del Tiempo in Mexico??

Am I the only one? First off - I LOVE the ambience inside the Mexico Pavillion - so romantic!

I like the ride - the bright colors, the music - so relaxing going along the river in the little boat...

Everywhere I turn I read about how "lame" it is and how it is a "waste" and it will detract from your day, etc.

Anyone else with me in the boat? (Pun intended )

What if Disney got the hunch that people didn't like it?? I'd be so sad if it weren't there!

I love it! It such a relaxing ride, the low light. This place cannot be beat on a hot day.

We always go counter-clockwise around WS, so El Rio Del Tiempo is usually our last ride after a long, hot day. It's nice and cool, and a wonderful way to wind down before settling in for Illuminations and then heading back to the hotel.

I love that ride! I especially love that you can eat at the Restaurant and watch the boats float by!

I think its OK. I like how you take the boat past the people eating in the restaurant and stuff, thats really neat! But I think the lameness comes full force when I have to watch that girl run in those 3 tv's. I would rather they just plaster over it with fake rocks. The rest of the ride isn't TOO BAD though.

Atmosphere-10++ I absolutely love that place. I wish I could do my back yard to look like the inside of that building!

Food-4/5, but I am from Texas so I am pretty picky about my Mexican food. I will eat there just to relax and enjoy my surroundings.

I enjoy the ride also. I don't think of it as a "Disney ride" ( which must be held to a higher standard ) . I think of it as a " product of Mexico". It reminds me of a mix of tourist info and it's a small world. I also like that you seldom have a line.

Move over in the boat! ERDT is one our favorite rides. The low light and the A/C on a hot FL day makes it well worth the time. Besides Italy, Mexico is our pavorite pavilion.

I love it. We sometimes ride several times in a row when the crowds are low. The best part of the Disney Magic is when I think it really IS night time, and then go out in the sun and get confused for a minute.

My 10 year old son & I love it. He wants to go on it 5 times when we go in August. We love everything about it.

It's so cool and relaxing. I love the restaurant also--it's a little quiet place tucked inside a great big noisy one!
The first time we went to Mexico and the vendors followed me, lowering their prices and bargaining, I cracked up and thought of this boat ride! And now every time we ride, we think of our trips to Mexico!

Timely thread for me! I am right now listening to the audio for the ride on Park Hopper Radio. I *love* that ride -- especially the music and the fireworks room at the end. We never miss that ride!!

Well I like it too. There's hardly ever a wait. You are seated and not out in the blazing sun. The song is catchy. What's not to like? But then I also like It's a small world and Sounds dangerous so maybe I'm not the best judge.

I also love it! Through the years I can see it needs a bit of a refurb but I would be SOOOOOO dissapointed if I went and couldnt ride it. I remember as a child we had to wait in line to get on the ride, now every time we go we never have a wait! I think the whole Mexican Pavillion is beautiful and so relaxing
