Anyone else just love TTA & Carousel of Progress?

I really get chapped when I read complaints about Carousel of Progress being old-fashoined and "needing to be updated". I think it's perfect just as it is. I always get a lump in my throat while enjoying the show. It seems to be the last trace of Walt's presence at what has become WDW.

And the TTA/WEDway is such a breath of fresh air. We just love it. :goodvibes

We love the COP and the TTA. It is like visiting an old friend while giving your back and feet a rest.

Without a doubt, these are my only NEVER MISS parts of WDW. I can't explain why, and my DF thinks I'm absolutely nuts (she can't stand CoP). There's just something about it, maybe something from when I was a child. Every trip, it's TTA then CoP. Then, I worry about the rest of the vacation.

I love TTA. Whenever I go into PoC I have to restrain myself from telling John to get off of his animatronic duff and help poor Sarah with the wallpaper.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I so agree.

I love them both although we are recent converts to the delights of COP.

But the Peoplemover is a long time absolute must do for us.

CoP was a highlight of our vacation last June. That's the one attraction I remember from my disney visits as a kid, so I talked DH, DS-11, DD-7, and DS-4 into checkint it out last June. DH joked around with the kids and told them they should put their arms straight up in the air (as if they were on a roller coaster) whenever the theater rotated to the next room. All 3 kids would sit in the front with their arms straight up and laugh and laugh. We saw it over, and over, and over again. The kids still sing the song. It was one of those 'disney moments' for me....taking pleasure in watching the kids enjoy 'the little things'. I think it will always be something the whole family looks forward to from now on.

TTA is also a favorite, but CoP now has a special place in our hearts.

hahaha last time we were is WDW all the lines were so long and it was our last day :hourglass ...instead of just being bumed me and my boyfriend went on TTA which had no wait...we got off and ran back up the escalator thing about 15 times before the CM said a thing! she didn't mind at all she was just like "woah." :rotfl:

:cloud9: they are both truly magical... I just can't wait to be on them in 3 weeks!!

We really love the TTA. We enjoy sitting on it when the weather starts getting really hot and just letting the breeze blow in our faces. Yeah....the TTA is great!!

....LOVE these two rides, also! In fact, it is more of a family 'tradition' to ride these than IASW!

Love them! Everytime we go to the MK we have to ride the TTA and CoP (when it is open). Just isn't a complete day in the park without those two! I love to ride TTA at night to see the lights and even the fireworks. Sometimes when it is late at night the CM let us ride it over and over for as long as we like! :earsboy:

i love them too
we ride TTA at least 3-4 times everytime we go
it's relaxing to ride while waiting for fastpasses to come on
also like carousel of progress and the song
hope it's open next time we go

We love the TTA and CoP, too. Actually more and more the older we're getting! Seriously, we remember the CoP from the 1964 World's Fair in Flushing, NY when I was little, so it is sentimental to DH & me. The TTA is a wonderful little ride, especially in the heat of summer (the breeze is great) or just to rest the weary bones. We like it better since they made it faster. It used to be too slow.

love it love it love it! they are easily 2 of my favorite attractions at MK and WDW. I always sing along and me and my sister always go "now approaching, mickey's star traders..." lol

We really love the TTA. We enjoy sitting on it when the weather starts getting really hot and just letting the breeze blow in our faces.

But if you ride it when it's cold, like last week, you might end up freezing your TTA off.

Both my dd and I love them both!!!! I hope COP is open in a couple of weeks!

Our DD is 5 1/2 and TTA is one of her favorite rides (I like it, too!). We usually ride it at least 3 times per trip. She and I (DH not so much!) also enjoy CoP. When our parents came with us (mine for the first time ever in WDW), I thought my Mom would think CoP was a bit cheesy or hokey, but she loved it because she remembered seeing it in its original incarnation at the NY World's Fair.

OHHHHHHHH how I love the TTA! I was just there last week and on last Tuesday (1/25) in the afternoon when I went to ride it TTA was down :( I actually saw the TTA cars crashing into one another :( But it reopened within an hour and I was one of the first on the TTA (this was also one of the only times I have seen a line for the TTA) I always end each trip with a spin or two on the TTA reflecting on my trip.

We love both. Hadn't been able to do COP for a couple years due to its seasonal schedule, but we made up for it over this past Thanksgiving.

I love TTA! :) CoP isn't bad. I used to like it a lot more than I do now. Don't know why.
