Anyone else just love TTA & Carousel of Progress?

i love the tta, just a nice relaxing ride and i like the script to it,
i really like going over the buzz lightyear ride, going through space mountain and seeing walt disneys view of the future,
the cop also i love, when i went a few weeks ago it was open. much to my suprise, another nice relaxing thing to do, just sit and enjoy

I love them both however I cant go onhte COP my kids wont sit still for it . I tried on my last trip and I think i have to wait a few years till they get a little older.I hope it is still around then.

TTA is no problem with them. I take them on it at least once a trip sometimes more often.

On our first trip when my oldest was 5, we went on the COP only because there was no line and it was hot. How did I know that it would still be his favorite ride almost 17 years later!! The 2 younger kids have never enjoyed it as much as he did, but they still like it!

I really enjoy COP and the TTA is actually one of my favorites (fiancees too). We must've ridden to TTA about 20 times on our last trip....and its also a great way to spend time while you wait for your fast pass window to open up!

I love them too! Like Classic Disney!!

In a sense, it's a little 'blast from the past' -- as i remember them from my first trips back in the day! Our kids love them, too!

Last year my DS (13 at that time) and I did both CoP and TTA. He thought the CoP was awesome! I told him I had done it at the '64 NY World's Fair and I loved it then too! The TTA is truly a relaxing ride. Don't you wish they had those in every USA city? I wouldn't mind riding that to work everyday here in Atlanta...

We're grandparents and my DGDs like pointing out all the "olden day" stuff and asking me about it! They think I'm REALLLY old because I was born before Disney World (or Land) existed!

It is one of the classics, one of my absolute favorites, and not to mention one of Walt's favorites. That is why I hope they never remove it. If they did, they would be ripping a little piece of Walt out of the park. And the TTA goes way underrated. It's so relaxing, and there is never a line. It's a nice way to take a breather and enjoy the scenery.

I'm like Leota...I can't stop calling the TTA "the WEDway". Our 4 yr. old thinks he's riding Space Mtn. when he's on it, and our 2 yr. old (who is a bundle of energy) is totally relaxed and just chills out while on board. COP is a must for us when it's open, and even the little ones are mesmerized by it. For our family, those 2 rides ARE Disney! :goodvibes

We love the TTA!!! On our first trip with our son a couple of years ago, we didn't know the correct name for it - so we call it "the blue thing". Since then, it's become our tradition to make it our first ride of the day as well as our last.

We also enjoy CoP... I was really surprised that my 5 yo loved it!! He was singing "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow" all day long!

Great... Now I've got it stuck in my head!
:music:

DH, DS 7, DD 5, and I love both of these! :cool1:

I love TTA. Whenever I go into PoC I have to restrain myself from telling John to get off of his animatronic duff and help poor Sarah with the wallpaper.

My two favorites of all time. Remind me of when we went as a kid. Brokemy heart in Dec to see how they have let COP break down. :sad2:

Oh yes, TTA is one of my favorite WDW rides! We always ride it several times each trip. :):) We also love COP but haven't done it since 1998. I really hope it is open in Feb. Who knows when it will be gone for good, I want to see it once more!!

I hope WDW never goes the route of DL and gets rid of either one of them. They are both great relaxing rides/shows.
Very Disney.

We love them both !!

Yes, they are favorites of mine. In December DS humored me and went on both with me and DH and I got all misty-eyed. Gosh, DS's grow up so fast, he's 27 now!

Bobbi :flower:

Oddly enough, my kids (7 & 9) both LOVE TTA. That is one ride that they both beg to ride!

Saw CoP for the first time last June. Loved it. Saw it 3 times. It's a lump-in-the-throat ride. Kids enjoyed the rotating seats. It's just so unique.

TTA is a must do for us also. suprisingly couldnt get my DW and DS#1 to go on COP with me on our last trip. i assured them that at the very least the will get out of the blazing july sun and cool off. well i pleaded with them and told them how i rode COP in 1964 at the world's fair but they really werent interested. so i went wth DS#2..well to mu suprise he loved it!!! he is a bit of the thrill seeker type so i felt he just wanted to go on with me so i didnt have to go alone. it was just so special to have my son enjoy something i had enjoyed as a child in almost the same way.

I really get chapped when I read complaints about Carousel of Progress being old-fashoined and "needing to be updated". I think it's perfect just as it is. I always get a lump in my throat while enjoying the show. It seems to be the last trace of Walt's presence at what has become WDW.

And the TTA/WEDway is such a breath of fresh air. We just love it. :goodvibes
