Is anyone else getting a little irriatated with all the spanish translations on rides/monrail/shows, after saying it in English?

Not as much since I've started watching ride videos from the international parks, and wishing I knew what they were saying. :lmao:

Absolutely This Is America!!!!!! :woohoo:

Doesn't bother me in the least.

Nope...and kind of makes me laugh to think about being on the monorail and being reminded to keep my manos y brazos dentro el train.

Also, I believe this kind of protects Disney from people saying "Hey, I didn't know." Disney, can say, "Yeah, you DID know because we told you in your language."

It used to bother me, but after many years, I've decided to let realism take over. It's so common in the area I live in, it's not worth raising my blood pressure about. But I admit that it used to really upset me.

It's OK with me but why just Spanish? How about French, German, Japanese and Red Neck?

:confused3 :grouphug:

It doesn't bother me but I did want to share this stoy
Absolutely This Is America!!!!!!

Do you mean this is the United States? There are many languages spoken in America. Seriously, one of my friends was fortuntate enough to meet the Pope years ago and he asked where she was from, she said America. He asked her which one, North or South?

it doesn't bother me in the least. i think it's funny to hear it in english and then hear it, what seems like a bazillion times faster, in spanish, but if they are going to do spanish then they should do it in german, french, and all other languages.

or...

we should all be able to bring headphones and plug it into a jack before loading the ride to listen to the rules in our select language. that way it wouldnt waste time listening to something you can understand...and for the pleasant people who insist on not listening to the rules, sign a waivor that states that they wont sue disney if their arm gets chopped off by not keping it in the ride at all times.

but of course... you will need the waivors in every language too...

:rotfl: (im semi-kidding)

Except for the monorail spiel which I think is funny, I never noticed. I can't understand why it would bother anyone. You can bet Disney parks in other countries use English on the same rides and attractions. Do you think they care? Doubtful.

I don't know why it would be annoying. Like a previous poster said, this is the United States...there are many different cultures and languages spoken, after all, our country was built up around the "melting pot" idea.

Whats the big deal, its not like they ARENT saying it in English. Some people are way too United States-centric, it really bothers me. How can you not enjoy the beauty of other languages?

Sorry, maybe I have to hear it to be annoyed by it.
