I am finally up to 8 nights. This is really something. Even the CM's are telling me they have had many people trying to get in and can't find campsites. I'm still trying for 5 more nights. I hope I can get them. Also does anyone know if we can park our camper in the FW parking lot if we have to stay in a resort the first few nights? Last thing I want to do is pull it through a hotel parking lot. YIKES!!

Hey We4Mickey;

I'm just curious about your difficulty. What dates are you trying to get ressies for? I'm looking to extend my May trip and if it's getting booked already, I might be out of luck. :mad: :confused:

park our camper in the FW parking lot if we have to stay in a resort the first few nights

I would opt to take it with you to the resort, the resort parking lots are usually pretty biq, i see RV's at many of the resort lots, that being said i doubt they would not let you park it at Fort Wilderness, just be sure to get a permit so it is not towed - the visitor parking lot is managed by an outside towing company and they do not allow overnight parking.

Of course it is the week after Easter I am having the difficulty with. I have resort ressies all over for that week as well, in case the campground doesn't come through. I have been able to get those without a problem. Not the campground though. Anyone know about the camper parking option if we get stuck in a hotel?

I guess you and I posted at the same time Scott. Thanks for the info.

We have left our camper in the Fort Wilderness parking lot while staying a few nights at a different resort with no problem. The front desk just gave us a sticker to put on the camper, so the lot patrols would know that we had permission to leave it there. :)

But that was a couple of years ago though, so things may have changed.

Well things are looking up. We now have all but one day of our vacation. Multiple ressies, one day today, two another hopefully we will get the last day and not have to worry about moving. Checking and calling several times a day.

We're going the week after Easter also. Made my ressies in late Dec with no problem. My brother-on-law and his family are going too and made their ressies in Jan and had a problem. They have all their days now but took a while.

Good luck!

Well, we finally have all our days covered, however, they told us they can't guarantee a pet loop. We have to have one as the pet is diabetic and has to have shots. So it has to come along. Any suggestions?

Glade you were able to get all your days booked. Is it just a few of the days that they were not able to get you a pet loop? If so I guess you could kennel your pet at FW for those days. But I bet they will be ale to work it out for you. Rarely have I heard of someone with multi resies have to actually change sites unless they book different grades of sites. (which I guess pet/no pet may be)

A little OT
It bugs me that when you do have to make multi resies to get your dates that they can't just convert it all to one resie with one check in. I am sure the Disney of old would figure a way to not inconvenience there guest by making them come back to do multiple check ins.

I now return this thread to it regularly scheduled topic.
