Didn't it used to be a policy that if you were not in a local channel access area that the satellite company would allow you to purchase the national feed of abc, cbs, etc? Maybe that is a thing of the past. Might want to check it out.
I even chatted with the agent online and he verified that they do not have local channels in our new area. So if I go with Direct TV then I need to get rabbit ears to get ABC, NBC and CBS??
Our choices are very limited where we are going (no big name cable companies like Verizon, Comcast or even TimeWarner service the area). I loved the lineup of DirecTV because they have all of our favorite channels including Sprout for DS3.
Thanks for the answers. Just seems our area is out of luck.
I can only get about half of my HD channels & I get a busy signal when I call - sounds like they are having some problems!
I'm also recording my soaps and now I've missed the last few minutes of One Life to Live. Booo!
