Just curious, when spring break is not taken at Eastertime in your particular area, what time, if any, do Christian children have off from school in observance of the holiday? Would it be Good Friday only?
Our schedule for next year isn't out but now I'm very curious as to what is going to happen. We usually get the week before Easter off, and my friends and relatives upstate get the week after but I see someone has posted that it has changed for them and its the end of April.
I don't know if we will go that late because we don't get a winter break in February that alot of other districts do. I'm hoping next year we do, I would love to escape the winter here.

Since ours is based on Patriot's Day (MA holiday), it's usually not around Easter. Good Friday is the only day that's (usually) given off, though they tried to take that away about 5-10 years ago.

Yes - my daughter will have good Friday - and, of course, Easter is a Sunday ... So she's off anyway.... My school doesn't give time off for any Jewish holidays, though many places in NY do.

I haven't checked, but here in NYC we'll probably just have Good Friday off. Usually the spring break can be worked to cover both Easter and Passover, but they're too far apart next year to accommodate both with one break. Since Passover is multiple days, it takes priority.
In NJ each town created their own calendar. My town always has the week after Easter. We have state testing March and May, so between testing and break...not a lot of instruction those 3 months for some teachers.

March 25 - April 3 for 2016. Don't even get me going on how our district picks dates for Spring Break. During the time my kids have been in this district (15 years), they have changed the process for determining Spring Break 4 times. I gave up and just wait for the calendar to be published now.
Of course, it never lines up with my son's college break, so entire family trips for Spring Break are now out. My DS20 went on Spring Break with his girlfriend this year, and the rest of us are going to WDW so my DD16's high school band can march in the parade at MK.

Actually, Eastertide, in western Christianity, is a 50 day season with Easter itself being an 8 day celebration. Of course, it would be impractical for Christian children to have that whole time off. But I just wanted to clarify that Easter isn't just celebrated for one day. Thank you for your reply, though.
