I just got my new Chase Disney Rewards Debit Card in the mail today! I also have a Disney Visa, so I know how the points accrue on that card (about 2 months after statement with charges), but I was wondering how it will work with my checking account. They were just released last week, but I heard that Ohio had the program first for a while. Any info would be greatly appreciated, because my bank rep did not even know the card was coming out!

I haven't heard of this - I'm in NY. I have a Disney Visa of course, I would love some info if anyone has it!

Never heard of this either. Didn't get anything in the mail or e-mail.

Anyone else?

From my googling, I found out that it is offered with Chase checking accounts. So, from what I understand, if you have a Chase checking account you could get this Disney Debit card. I don't know how to apply, maybe by checking with a chase bank?

The Disney Rewards Debit Card is brand new at Chase. Its a debit card version of the Disney Rewards Visa credit card, but there's some twists to it. If you like to use debit cards instead of a credit card, or cash or writing checks, you will value this. You earn half a percent in purchases made with your card in Disney Dream Reward Dollars, which doesn't sound like much at the start but it adds up when you pay bills and put other regular purchases on the card. You redeem on the same type of Disney Rewards Card like the credit card program. Chase gives you 25 Disney Dream Reward Dollars once you start using the card which is the same amount as the small annual fee:banana: - all good debit cards with rewards charge some type of fee. Plus there's four cute designs.:dance3: I got the 101 Dalmatians design myself.

All in all, if you like debit cards which most people are doing these days, this is perfect. And you get the same discounts and perks that the credit card program offers, so I will save more than the fee alone when I use it at the Disney Store buying presents for my nieces this month.:dance3:

Chase told me that they're going to start promoting the product big time in a month since its only been out there a week or so.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the additional info! I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. Yes, I have a Chase checking account, so this was a no-brainer. The only catch is that I have to use it with non-PIN purchases to get the points, which is OK for most of what I use my debit card for - gas, groceries, restaurants, nails, etc. Since I burn through about $1K a month on this account, I will get 5 DRD a month, which will add up to 60 DRD over the course of a year. Well worth the $25 fee in my opinion:thumbsup2
