I was just wondering if anyone else was reading the DVC boards, when suddenly, they came across a report about a room that they also had stayed in? For some reason, I always look for that, but so far it hasn't happened. I think it would be kind of cool to know that another DISer has stayed in the same room as me at a DVC resort. Oh, yeah-and anyone ever had BCV #339?

Ya know out of all the times i've stayed at WDw I've never wrote down or kept the room number? I always say I shoudl but then never do. Does everyone keep the number or are most like em?

I now promise myself i'll start doing thsi starting with my first official DVc trip thsi December. :smooth:

I decided, with this summer's stay at HHI, to take a picture of the room number for each vacation to help me remember exactly where we have stayed. The cute fish plaque inspired me!

I'm not very good about promptly putting vacation pictures in photo albums. But I just started a separate album for the room number picture and pictures of the resort. I'm hoping to keep track of our DVC stays this way.

That is a great idea rumplemom! I will start taking pictures of the room number now, too! Great time to start cause my first official DVc trip will be this December.

A year or so back I was trying to figure out where I'd stayed each trip to WDW. I coudln't figure it out pre hubby since I took many trips with my parents, school and even friends always staying off-site, but I was able to sort through resort pictures and with hubby's help and my frequently chnaging hairstyle fifure out everyhere he and I had stayed and what month and year.
Instead of trying to put all the trps into individual albums I made one single Disney scrapbook album, making a 2 page spread for each trip, including a pic of the resort, and the best few pics of us. I'm super proud of thsi album. I've put alot of work into, including trying to match the theme to whatver resort ti was. I even went back and on the cover page did a vintage spread with both my hubby and I as kids at WDW, nice 70s colors. LOL I particulary like the pic of me around 5 with a Sean Cassidy T-Shirt on. Nice.............. My Dad even gave me a leftover E ticket to put on the page!

You mean I'm the only one obsessed enough to keep the bill they slip under the door the day of check-out? The front of the envelope has the room number written on it. Please, someone else say you save it-I thought for sure that here, among other Disney fanatics, I'd feel somewhat "normal" in my obsession!

I never remember my room number. In fact, I hardly pay any attention to the room number when I'm there! Usually know the floor, the general location of the room, and the last digit. The rest is a blur. The kids usually get to the door first, anyway.

Overall, I think one room is as good as the next. I've got another 40 years to get to try out all the views... I even want to try out that famous dumpster view some time. LOL

I have a map of the BW that I mark the room numbers on. I have most of them, but sometimes I've forgotten.

The best rooms that we've stayed in were BWV 2123 (this past trip) and 3123 (May 2001). They are the large 1BR standard view rooms that are above the door that leads to the parking lot/bus stop. It's a long walk from the elevator, but the extra space in these rooms is great!

Unfortunately, I had to call to get my room stocked with pot holders, dish towel, dw detergent, laundry detergent, hand towels and washclothes. I think someone was asleep on the job that morning.

Our other BW rooms this trip were:
5077-79 (2BR)
1125 (studio)

Simba's Mom - no, you're not the only one. I have all those envelopes (even from before we were DVC)!!!
My DD stayed at BCV this past August and when she came home without her DVC folder, I had a fit. She just couldn't understand. I'm glad you guys understand.

Don't worry, I do that too. I stick all the room charge receipts in the envelope after I've checked the bill. So if I ever want to know where we ate lunch, what we had and what time it was, on September 15, 1994, I'll know :)

(Note I said "what we ate", but the rest were all "I"... DW thinks I'm crazy for keeping that kind of stuff!) :jester:

never had the same room as someone

BUT

this past Jan WDWBill and his DW, and granddaughter came into VWL the last night DW and I were there. so we booked a MK firework cruise that night, after the cruise we walked all the way back to the rooms together as they were TWO DOORS away from DW and I.

Also, I had 4535 and posted a photo tour of the room here and someone mentioned they had 5535 one floor directly above it!

that's the closest, but let's try anyways.

OKW 3816 Jan 2002
VWL 4535 Jan 2003

anyone ever have these rooms?

Mike

Whew, thanks, everyone! I feel normal again. Was getting worried there. DH thinks I'm crazy because we're moving to a smaller house so we're throwing away many little, useless items we've saved. Well, we've made many trips to WDW (at least 16) and I've saved so many things. Would you believe that now he expects me to throw some of those things away? Resturaunt receipts, room bills, confirmation papers, etc. I needed some support.

My DH came up with a great idea to remember which room we stay in each trip. He has the kids make a crayon rubbing of the room number for our scrapbook. We also take their picture standing outside the room next to the door and room number.... this is really to see how much taller they have grown with each trip ! ;)

Cindy

PS...I save every receipt, too !

We had a quick stay in BCV 416 after a cruise in Oct. '02. Just a couple of months later, there was a post about what a great room/location 416 is! I remember this one well, directly across the hall from the laundry room. Diana

We also take a photo of our kids in front of the door with the room number. Once on the boards here I noticed someone had mentioned that they had stayed in the same unit that we did on our first trip to HH. I asked them how "our" room was. They had enjoyed it as much as we did.
