I hate spring....all the annoying little bugs start coming out already! So a few days ago, DH noticed a whole huge mass of ants in our garage...by the door the car drives thru. So, I sprayed, they curled up, and then were a mass of dead ants. Then yesterday, he found another mass...opposite corner of the garage, by the back door that goes into the backyard. GGRR. Now they're gone. But with all these in different spots I have a bad feeling theyre invading our garage. Yuck! Then a girl at the grocery store said they had tons in their kitchen already. Anyone else have this problem?

I've never had ants before, but in the past few weeks, I've been finding them all over my downstairs. They're driving me nuts! I've used spray, but they keep coming back. I've got the Orkin man coming tomorrow & he better get rid of them for good!

Yep, as soon as we had one nice day they were out. I've had good luck with Ortho® Home Defense Max® Perimeter & Indoor Insect Killer.

YES!!!!! Monday I left the kitchen window open. Came home to a kitchen counter full of ants. Sprayed them with ant/roach killer and they haven't been back since. Of course I haven't opened the kitchen window back up either. lol

We usually get them also living so close to woods but my DH sprays something on the whole foundation of the house and it works miracles. He does this in early spring and then every few weeks into fall. If we happen to see an ant in between these sprayings he will do it more often. I don't know the name of it but he mixes it with water and has one of those spray pumps. He buys it at Home Depot. Before he started this we had so many ants in our kitchen it was disgusting, they were even coming out of the dishwasher.

No, thank goodness. We have a regular pest control service--out here, you have to! We also have those tubes in the walls that the service charges with some sort of chemical, which seems to keep the majority of bugs out of the house.

The first year we were here it was pretty bad because the previous owners never did a thing. Ants, spiders, silverfish--you name it, we had it. It took over a year of regular visits to get it all under control but during that time I thought was going to go insane!

It's been so dry out here, we've been extra careful though. Bugs are going to come looking for a water source from somewhere!

The best thing I have found for ant is Terro, we had ant problems about 7 years ago and this stuff knocked them completely out. They take the poison back to their nest, we havent had ants since. Now if I could get rid of the spiders and silverfish I would be a happy person. We just had the house, under the house, and outside they house sprayed and I have seen 2 spiders since, YUCK.

Anyone have any good no-toxic way to get rid of ants. I have a cat and a little one, so puting poision traps is out. We have no clue where they are comming, but we seem to find an ant wandering around. Thanks

No ants yet but i've seen a lot of lady bugs already...
AND i had a thousand legger in the kitchen this morning...Talk about getting the willies... :faint: :scared:

My sister lives in an end-unit townhouse and has a terrible time with ants in her bathroom. She sets out Terro and they still come. She's had the problem for months this time. Once our rain stops, she's going to have an even bigger mess. Since she's in a condo, I don't think she can have a bug service spray.

Anyone have any suggestions?
