Anyone else have a MAG Innovision...

computer monitor with built in speakers? I just hooked this up last night. I can barely hear anything! (How am I supposed to hear when I'm in another room when I can't hear if the radio is on in the same room?) Wondering if there might be a problem with this one or are they all designed this way? I have the volume set at 100% and the scroll bar thing set all the way up.

Well Yes, I do have a Mag, but I do not have built in speakers.

Are you sure you have the speaker connected to the right output on the back of your PC? One is the 'line out' and one is the 'speaker out'.

The line out is a low signal intended for something that has an amplifier. The volume control wouldn't have a great effect on this output.

The speaker output is the one you want to use. Double check your connections...

I checked everything in the back a couple days ago. Seems to be okay. Still having problem. This morning I mentioned a sound card to DS to see if he was familiar with it. Yes. I asked him to look at the back of the computer and be sure it's right. He said the wire is green and is plugged into the green input in the back. Yes, I remember seeing that.

****Then he told me that the end of the cable in the back of the monitor isn't plugged in all the way. I asked him how he knew that. He said he knew it when I set it up! Okay...so why didn't you mention it then, DS? Because I was saying some bad words as I was putting this together and he didn't want me to yell. Problem solved! I now have LOUD speakers!

Note to self...must become better at mumbling under breath and not talking out loud!!
