Did anyone happen to see Johnny Depp on David Letterman a week or so ago? I've always been a fan of him and he was doing this interview promoting the movie.
Letterman asked him what it was like having young kids. His response had me crying I was laughing so hard!

"...after they are one or so...its like being with a drunk...you have to hold their hand...they bump into things...they laugh...they cry..."

My sister, niece, and I saw the movie on Sat. We all have the hots for the sexy captain. I just turned 50 and my niece is 15. We all want to see the movie again.

Ya'll are killing me. Haven't seen POTC yet as I have a 7 year old at home and I've read where it's not a movie for youngsters so I'll just have to wait until it hits DVD (how am I ever going to wait so long?).

Anyway, as some of you I've been a HUGE Johnny Depp fan since 21 Jump Street. This weekend "BLOW" has been on cable, watched it twice, even though his character is not what you would call "nice to look at" he is such a great actor (really underrated in my book).

Going right now to download the wallpaper (have to have something until it comes out on DVD).

In any case, when he was on Good Morning America, he told a funny story. Apparantly after he finished filming POTC, he went to Europe on vacation with his wife and daughter. Nobody there recognized him. His daughter befriended another little girl at some hotel and this girl asked his daughter what her parents did for a living. She said "My mom's a rock singer, but my dad's a PIRATE!!" He said she hasn't quite grasped the concept that he is an actor yet

Also...You know he walked like he did becasue he modeled the charcter after Keith Richards. He said "I had to think about how i was going to do this and I decided that pirates were like rockstars back then. Then I thought Keth Richards is a big rockstar he would have made one hell of a pirate"

I just saw your post Dturner...I've got to tell you, I took DS7 because he begged to go. He LOVED it. In fact he was even let down that he wasn't more frightened. I'm not big on violence, and it just isn't on in my home. So unless your child scares easily, it's not a bad pic.

That said, I have a son who adores scary movies and goes ghost hunting every full moon because he's convinced that's when they come out.

See I'm with*Robin* on this, my crush is on Captain Jack Sparrow, not on Johnny Depp. Sure JD is nice to look at in real life but Captain Jack......arrrrrrrrrr.....he's the man.
