Anyone Else have a bad experience at the NASCAR CAFE?

We went there for my birthday in September. The food on the menu looked good and I love watching NASCAR. So I figured that it would be a good place to go. WRONG!! The food was terrible and the service really stunk!! I guess I should have got the hint when we were seated immediately at 9 p.m. on a Friday night!!

We are planning another trip for the end of this month for our anniversary. So my question is this. Where is a good place to eat? I am thinking about Margaritaville. Both hubby and I are big Jimmy Buffet fans. However, after our last experience I am afraid to try a new place without getting some advice.

Can't do Emeril's. Allergic to most of the items on the menu. No shellfish. I want somethiing with a good atmosphere that has good food.

We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe & the food was very good and the service was excellent. It's like a TGI Friday's or a Bennigans. We ate there twice while we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel last week.

We also ate at the Nascar Cafe once and it too was good and the service was excellent. I guess it's hit or miss with a lot of these places. I did, however, prefer the Hard Rock Cafe over the Nascar Cafe. I thought the food and the atmosphere were a little bit better at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Margaritaville is my favorite restaurant in CityWalk. I can only vouch for the Cheeseburger in Paradise and the margaritas but both have been excellent each time I've been. Great service too!

Two thumbs up, way up from me!

The only thing I like about the NASCAR Cafe, is watching peoples reactions to the #3 car.

I LOVE Mythos in IOA. If you don't want to go to the park that day, make a reservation at Mythos and you can get a special pass at Guest Services to get into IOA for you meal. They only allow you a certain amount of time in the park, so just eat and leave.

I've never had a bad experience at any of the Citywalk restraunts. I give a to Pastamore, Margaritaville, NASCAR Cafe and Latin Quarter. I give a to Hard Rock Cafe and NBA City. A for Emeril's, as I haven't eaten there yet.

Sorry to hear your report. I've always liked NASCAR Cafe and always found the food to be pretty good and the service to be super friendly.

But things change. I guess this means I'll be forced to eat at NASCAR when I'm down there next week.

I've eaten at NASCAR three times and it was good all three times. Guess you hit it on a bad day.

We've had great meals at Pastamore' , NBA City and Margaretaville but Mytho's is by far our favorite restaurant at US/IOA. Another good place in Finnegans in US

I have tried Nascar cafe twice, my son loves race cars. On both occasions it was aweful! Food & service. Can't even remember what we had.
Of all the Citywalk restauarnts NBA is our favorite, great pastas & salads. I'm not crazy aboit the atmosphere but the boys love it

Thanks for all the comments. I guess the service and the food quality really is hit or miss sometimes. I have been to other restaurants around my house that I love the food and been disappointed too.

I really want to check out Margaritaville and NBA City. We have a Hard Rock Cafe near us so we go there alot. Mythos sounds like something I might want to do. Oh now I have to decide!! OH NO!!
