I think that's the one thing that gets irritating after about 5 days of vacation-Every ride or attraction seems to have a preshow. I like some of the older rides better that don't have one!!!

"Alien Encounter" pre-show lasts for an eternity - I like Skippy and all, but not sooooo long! That's the only one that really drives me nuts.

On the other hand, I LOVE the Haunted Mansion pre-show - no matter how many times I see it.:D

The Haunted Mansion preshow is great and I personally go to Honey I Shrunk the Audience to see the preshow. I love it!

I think the preshows are better than standing in line doing nothing. They help pass the time and are entertainment for busy children.

I LOVE the preshow for the Muppets and will sit through it time and time again even I didn't have to. Other things do bother me (like people doing the wave before Fantasmic....I HATE the wave). There are a couple that I could skip, like the ToT when you ride the ride over and over again. The first time, I like it. By the fifth or sixth time, it gets annoying and I start to get annoying right along by reciting the entire thing along with it. Sometimes I wish that you could just pass by those as well.

My worst ones are those with the videos that loop on the tv's set up. These are more prevalent to Universal than Disney, but when you have to watch the same thing over and over, it gets to me. Really gets to me.

The "news from the galaxy" TV's in Space Mountain kind of grew on me. At first I thought they were stupid, but then I realized they were better than staring at the person's back in front of me. I hear they took them out - have they put anything in their place?

Call me crazy (you won't be the first!) but the preshows are one of our favorite parts of touring. We always go into the Great Movie Ride, take a snack, and sit in the air conditioning for twenty minutes and watch the trailers. The CM's think we're nuts, but they let us do it. The pre-show is so unique to Disney. At Hershey Park, our local venue, the pre-show is watching people get po'd at the long lines...

I agree with Pat on this one....I LOVE the pre-show. I'm going in September and will be pregnant but I plan on going through the pre-shows with my group becaues I enjoy them (then taking the chicken exit)- because I could find lots of other stuff to do with no problem while they went on something. Now I have to admit I will not go through the line at Space Mountain - that one does bore me:D

I think it's a unique way for Disney to help alleviate the frustration that can come with waiting (for anything!!) for long periods of time.

I appreciate the fact that they have made an effort to keep me happy while waiting. I miss the pre-show that accompanied the Lion King show at the MK . . hmmm, I miss all of that show!!!:teeth:

Bring on Mickey's Philharmagic!!

I agree with Pat_Elliot about the local pre-shows. At the Six Flags by us, it is like watching my very own Jerry Springer show in line. It is like I am stuck in a sterotypical trailer park and can't get out! I did see something at the same park where they were SELLING fastpases for the rides. Going there after going to Disney and Universal is so hard but I suck it up just for the coasters

I actually like the pre-show for ToT. I also like Haunted Mansions pre-show. I actually can't think of ones i don't like.

Some preshows are annoying because they just prolong the suspense - we were terrified after seeing the Test Track preshow the first time we went on it! Lol!
But I personally LOVE the Honey I Shrunk the Audience preshow. It is completely different to the show itself but it is so touching, it makes us want to cry! It's the only reason we go to see HISTA! ;)

"I see your true colours shining through
I see your true colours and that's why I love you
So don't be afraid
To let them show
Your true colours, true colours
Are beautiful
Like a rainbow"

:( :D

i think some of the pre-shows are good but there are lots that can be ehh cut...

presonly i too find the AE show way too darn long. It just keeps going.... and going....

I love all the preshows. The Alien Encounter preshow is one of my favorite, and it's only 6 minutes long, including the video. The Haunted Mansion preshow is by far my favorite. The HISTA preshow is short and funny, and I like it. The Muppets 3D preshow is pretty long, but its hilarious and entertaining. And the UoE preshow is great too. I don't know how anybody can't like them.

I love the preshows, but the worst one is a Universal.....JAWS, what is that on the TV monitors it is so stupid, why not play the movie.

I love the Honey I shrunk the Audience Kodak Preshow. I am upset if we get there and it is almost over and we have to head right into the HISTA show.

I agree with Golter about Jaws. Really, Really Bad.

If there weren't any preshows - I bet there would be a thread entitled....

"So much waiting - you think Disney could give us a preshow or something!!"

lol

Personally I appreciate the preshow - it passes the time and I really enjoy muppets, tower of terror, RockN. Rollercoaster, Haunted Mansion, Honey I shrunk the Audience etc etc...

>>^..^<<

i think the preshows are part of what makes disney a theme park rather than an amusement park. i work for an ohio amusement park and i think it is something we badly need! they make a ride an attraction! i absolutely love the idea!!
i mean come on, would you like every ride line to be similar to little mermaid waiting area? i wouldn't ... give us something to watch or do!

I enjoy most of the pre-shows. I don't enjoy it when other guests think this is a great time to use their cell phones when people are trying to hear what's going on. I guess that comment belonged on a different thread, but this topic reminded me of that problem! Much rather have a preshow than watching everyone else shuffling through the queing areas!
