Anyone else hate the new Facebook format?

I haven't been on my FB page for a couple of days and was quite shocked when I signed in today. I really don't care for the changes they made.

It appears they deleted the Status option - is this correct? I am freaking out about this. I don't want to have to go through everything in the news feed just to see what is going on with my friends.

I hate it too...it is not user friendly. I used to be able to go directly to all my different aps....now after playing Farmville I have to go back to the FB page and then go to the side and choose which ap I want to use next. I used to be able to get to it right form each game without the extra steps.


Not a fan of this change.

I don't like it either. I like just getting my status updates and not this friend is now friends with this person and all the game stuff updates. I just want to be able to read the news stuff. If it stays this way, I'm gonna really have to cut down my friends list to people who post things other than crud.

I hate change in general, but I haven't spent much time on the new one...maybe it's not that bad?

I have two FBs...one changed and one didn't.

I think they're trying things out.

Half my friends haven't experienced the new FB yet, so who knows. I'm sure they can see all the complaints that are rising from the new look. Hopefully they'll change it back.

We finally get used to the new one and they change it again..

Ugh, yes. If they decide to change it again, the only way I will support it is if its back to the way it was before this.

That's my biggest complaint.....especially when facebook lags so bad.

Are you talking about the new Facebook Lite?? I'm able to switch back and forth between regular fb and fb lite. In the top right corner of my screen it asks if I want to switch back. Not sure if that's what you're talking about.

Mine changed too. I'm seeing people becoming friends with people that I'm not even friends with yet. I have a friend request in to them it says, but when I go to my friends list it doesn't list that person with "friend request pending", it doesn't list that person at all. I want to cancel my friend request but I can't!

I doubt there has ever been a significant change in any user-interface which wasn't objected to by a large number of users. That typically has little to no correlation to whether the user-interface redesign effectively achieves the objectives on which the redesign was prompted.

I do think that there are bugs. There's no way to effectively simulate millions of people using a product. They'll figure out what's strange, and fix it.
