Anyone else hate Crocs, Crocs threads, and even typing "Crocs"

Add me to the list of folks who is never going to wear the things. Too ugly.

I know a billionaire (male) who lives on the beach in Malibu (and dates movie stars) who wears them everywhere.

And I'm sure all those movie stars are interested in him for his clown shoes :sad2:

It's so funny - he's 55 and fairly recently divorced. He says 'Gosh people here are so friendly." My sister and I kid him that he is just fresh meat in a world of 40 year old women (most of whom have been very surgically altered) who are just swooning over him. He's very good looking, single and rich - he is like raw meat in a den of lions. Guess it wouldn't matter what he had on his feet.

I have some and they are definitely UGLY. When I first bought them I thought maybe if they felt good I'd paint something on them just so I could get over their being so bland and ugly. But alas I don't think they are comfy either, and they felt horrible on our last Disney trip when it started raining or you rode something that got your feet wet, then you had to go to the restroom and dry them off or walk around the parks squeaking.

I tried to warm them so the heel bands weren't pushing my toes over the front, but didn't work. So I took the heel bands off, then they feel like they might fall off (I have the Nile style....only style they had locally.

Maybe the Beach ones are better, who knows. But, unless I come across an almost free pair I won't be spending my money to find out.

What's wrong with the shoes in that picture?? They look more comfortable than the stupid rubber convertible Earth shoes we've been talking about. Plus they are a natural fit to a woman's foot. Check out Barbie's feet..

I doubt the reason they're dating him is because he looks hot in his Crocs. :lmao:

He was given an opportunity to invest in the company but turned it down or he'd be even richer.

Wow, he must have one of them high falutin cement ponds, too! :thumbsup2

I guess if you're a billionaire some women are willing to overlook the fact you have lousy taste in footwear. :teeth:

I'm not one of them, so it's best he and I never meet. :smooth:

There's nothing wrong with them. I  those shoes!!!!! I'm helping Briarmom plan an outfit around that pair of shoes to help land us our pool boy. :smooth: Of course first we need to figure out how we are going to afford the shoes. :confused3 :rotfl2:

 I love those shoes. Almost as much as I love Johnny.

I think they are soooo ugly, and I bought three pair and I still hate them, and I'm wearing them all over the house and cringe when I look at them. And now I've ordered some for the whole family and I hate them even more. It's a paradox; they are irritatingly ugly but I'm in a good mood when I wear them.

I call them my Borg shoes. They have assimilated me.

I am normally extremely conservative shoeistically speaking, and have shaken my head many times at styles in recent years (Bowling shoes on the street? What???) But these make more sense to me than most womens' shoes that do not resemble a foot in any way. Maybe a canoe but not a human foot.

Sacrificing vanity for comfort at least makes more sense than the other way around......

And really, they are just SHOES. Who cares man? It's Disney! My DS9 thinks he can't like Buzz Lightyear anymore in 4th grade because it's not cool, but I tell him at Disney it's all okay.

:thumbsup2 SOOOOOO TRUE!!!! It's all okay at Disney!

In protest of Crocs, I will be wearing these on the next trip to Disney:

I think that Crocs are hideous!!! There are plenty of comfortable shoes that don't make me look like I just escaped from Ringling Brothers!!! I'll stick with my Merrills!!!

Okay, it may be b/c it's late but I just read this and nearly fell off my computer chair! That is the funniest thing I have read tonight...I love it! Yu love and hate them...a real inner battle! That is so cute!
Thank you for making me smile! I will most likely be purchasing some soon and hope they deliver good moods as they do you!

They are ugly...but my granny used to always tell us kids-when you get older it's not about style-it's about comfort!
I agree...
"GO GRANNY!"
