Anyone else going to a DVC member event at the Contemporary in July?

A couple of days ago we got an e-mail from DVC inviting us to a member event at the Contemporary during our upcoming visit to the World (we check into Kidani on 6/28). We'll get to see the BLT rooms, there will be some characters there, and giveaways.

We signed up for a 7pm time-slot on a non-park day during our trip (we oughtta be up by then!). It said it lasts about 2 hours, so I'm hoping that maybe we can catch Wishes from there somewhere.

I'm sure they'll review the current incentives and offer an "opportunity" to add-on. Hopefully we can resist the urge to add-on, but maybe we'll want to try to get a stay there at the 7-month mark sometime.

Anyone else thinking of going to one of these? Anyone already been?

Our trip has been booked that long too and we just got the e-mail a couple of days ago. Maybe they're purposely sending them out shortly before you arrive? I think it's different from the webcast thing, although the pitch might be the same.

I think there were dates we could have signed up for as early as 6/29 or 30, and I remember seeing them as far out as 7/24. We're going on 7/1.

We signed up for 9am on the 29th. They have a kids club, food and characters. We're staying at Kidani for a couple of days and not doing any parks, so this seemed like a fun diversion for us.

I went back to the e-mail -- it's an interactive show called "Vacation As You Wish" -- the same title as what they're doing in Boston, which I saw on another thread.

If you're going soon and haven't received an e-mail and want to go, I suppose you should call your guide.

I didn't get the actual e-mail but I was able to get a reservation on July 21 - 3:00 pm. We will be switching rooms from Jambo House to Kidani Village so I thought it might be a good place for an afternoon break.

If you didn't get the email how did you make the reservation? I wonder if people either got the invite for the webcast or this event at the Contemporary but not both.

I signed up for July 23 @ 3:00. We are staying at the WLV, so only a boat ride over and choose the afternoon because it's too darn hot to do anything else! It said, "bring your camera" and I will. Plus give aways!! And I love "free stuff".

When we got the email it specifically mentioned the dates of our upcoming trip so it was personalized somewhat. When we went a little further to RSVP, it brought up quite a few additional dates. It seems it may have still been going into August but not 100% sure. DW did the RSVP.
