Anyone else getting spammed with Tracfone text messages?

For the record: I love, Love, LOVE my Tracfone cell phones. The price can't be beat. I have two with different numbers and I got my mom one.

But every few days, my Tracfones beep with text messages from Tracfone, themselves! Not someone else texting SPAM, Tracfone is spamming with promos bonus codes and deals every few days. Since the phones were activated on different dasy, the texts come on different days.

My mom gets them too. She's elderly. Only uses the phone for emergencies and the few calls she gets. She naps during the day and does NOT need to hear a beeping in the middle of the day. It also makes her nervous.

This is ridiculous. It is harrassment from the actual phone company we use to get service from.

Anyone else? And how do we stop it? I already unsubscribed from their promo emails, but the text messages are still coming.

Go to their web site, get a customer service number, and CALL them - tell them to take you off the list or whatever, that is causing you to get all these messages. You should be able to opt out of them. If you have to, threaten to drop their phones and use a major carrier's pre-paid plan! (not that you would, but they don't know that, and they want to keep you as a customer - or they should!).
