Anyone else getting nervous about the weather forecast for next week?

I know they say don't count on an Orlando, FL weather forecast being accurate until like 2 or 3 days beforehand. But it still is making me nervous seeing a week full of rain!! I should not have even looked :confused3

YES! I was so happy when I checked Sat and it was all clear and sunny. Now...now I'm panicking even though I KNOW it can easily change. I just have my fingers crossed and am praying that it changes back to sunny and warm!

I know they say not to check more than a few days out, but I can't help it! I was a little worried to see rain & mid 60's. Although, in the last 3 days I've checked the weather site, it has changed 3 times!!!

Take it from a 45-year FL resident. The forecast you are looking at is GARBAGE. Spare yourself the stress and don't pay attention to it until 2-3 days out.

I can't tell you how many times this question is asked.

I'm still not seeing a whole week of rain on Weather Channel's app. It has a 30 to 40% chance of rain on next Tuesday and Wednesday and that's it. Anyhow, a forecast this far out is pretty much useless. It'll probably change again before today is over.

I'm not seeing rain on weather.com either.

Besides, I would happily take 70's and rain over 30's and snow any day!!!:cheer2:

But here's to hoping for low 70's and sunshine all next week! pixiedust:

Take a look tomorrow, the forecast will be completely different and you'll feel better. :)

I checked the forecast this morning and all I saw was sunny and partly cloudy. Looks good to me!

The weather network here in Canada shows a pretty darn good week so far!

I feel like we are going to be good!!!

To add to what others are saying, when we went in April, the forecast called for rain every day. It ended up raining 10 minutes max per day. I find its not like in Montreal where rain means alllll day long. Just a quick shower. I wouldn't be worried! Go have fun, even if it does rain! :goodvibes

Yep. I looked yesterday and it showed sunny or partly sunny every day. Today it showed showers most days. I just plan to pack for any possibility.

I don't see anything above a 20% chance of rain for the next 10 days on weather.com.:confused.Don't worry about it. It's not exactly the rainy season in Florida.

I'm going next week and I'm not nervous at all. The forecast has changed so many times I expect by the end of the week to see a forecast of a blizzard down there.

It sounds like its pretty typical December weather at WDW - anywhere from 40 to 80 every day and a small chance of rain. What's to worry about? :confused3

As others have counseled, use these long-range forecasts only as a guide for what to pack. The way to deal with a large variably in temperatures is to pack layers so that some combination of shirt, sweater, windbreaker will work for whatever he weather actually turns out to be.

Off topic!

Mom,
I hope you have a great trip and I can't wait to see all the dresses you've done for this year!

I follow the long term forecast on Accuweather for entertainment purposes. We arrive on Dec 13th for our 4th Christmas trip to Orlando in 5 years so I understand the weather at that time. The day we arrive does say cloudy and chance of rain, but it is also a high of 81F. Which generally means a shower at some point during the day and nice weather the rest. I'll take 81 in December anytime!

Having said that, like the others have said that forecast will change 5 time in the next 10 days.

I leave for WDW in three days...I'm not concerned at all. This is the 9th year I've been to WDW in early Dec. The extended forecasts are never correct. They always shake out when you get closer to the actual day.
I'll pack clothes for warmish weather as well as for cooler weather, with a poncho or two..just in case. I'll be covered no matter what.

Trust me-as an almost official Florida resident, and as someone who spent six weeks there this summer-you won't know what the weather will be doing till the morning of! And even then it can be hard to judge. I kid you not. There were times this summer when I was POSITIVE it was going to thunderstorm, and MK was even announcing certain rides might close because a rain storm was moving in-never ended up happening. Another time I opted not to go to MK and instead to Dine In Movie theatre because weather actually looked like it would pour-once again no rain!

When we were in Disney in May the forecast said 0% chance of rain - WHILE it was raining. At that point it should've said 100%.
