So is anyone else getting calls from DVC about a membership update?? Is this just another sales pitch or something I should actually call them back about???

I received a the same call a month or so ago. They started asaking for personal iformation so I told them I was going to hang up and call into DVC directly before providing personal information. I called DVC and of course their system was down but the agent I had had no idea what I was talking about. I really think it was a scam but the weird thing was that the disney number is what showed on my caller ID. I did see a show where scammers can do change the number or name that shows on the caller ID.

DVC has never called me back for an "update" so I am leaning to the scam theory. Be careful!

I think I got a similar call a few years ago because my guide was no longer with the company and that was a potentially new guide contacting me. If you ignore it, like me, you'll continue to get DVC emails and mailings without a guide listed.

I got a message at work to call regarding a "change in my membership". I called back and I got a new guide.

Your guide will NEVER ask for personal information in an unsolicited phone call.

Starting a couple of weeks ago, there was a Guide shake up and several members were given a different Guide. Many reported receiving a phone call.

I got one of those mystery phone calls for a new guide too. She asked me when my last trip was and I played coy figuring it was a phishing phone call as well. Then I got a follow up email. I have never gotten an email from a guide...is this a new thing? BTW my new guide is named Ali, anyone else get her too?

There is an advisory posted on the DVC member website:
