I am super mad!! I recieved my tickets today from the Officialticketcenter. They are running a promotion on there website, buy the 4 day tickets and get the 5 day tickets for no additional cost. I have ordered from them in the past and even called them before i placed the order to confirm what was on the site was true. Well, I ordered the Tickets Saturday, was super happy when they arrived today.......until i notice they are 4 day tickets!!!!! WTH!
So i call them right away and told them what happened, then i was put on hold for 15mins, then some guy says, you can pick your tickets up here when you arrive we will replace them then, i tell him no, i want them in hand before i leave!! finally got the owner on the phone, i tell him what happened and ask him to send me one day tickets and honor the promo, and he tells me he can't do that :confused3 because you can't park hop with the 1 days tickets, ok he must think i'm super stupid, because i can't park hop with the 4 day tickets i have either, so his excuse did'nt get by on me. So he tells me to send the tickets back to him and he will refund me in full, or replace my tickets with 5 days tickets. I feel like i'm getting scammed, how can i trust him to send me the tickets? and what is the best way to return the tickets to him with proff he got them, best way to ship? Please help me out here, I can't afford to not get my money back. Should i tell him to refund my credit card, what if he does'nt? I was so happy about getting the 5 day tickets, even started planning. I could have saved $10 had i gotten them else where if i wanted 4 day, kwim. Thanks!

You can return them via USPS and they have many different tracking options. You can track online and ask for signature confirmations. These things cost a little more here and there (a few cents to a $) but will be worth it for your piece of mind.

As far as him refunding your CC, you might want to call your CC company and talk to them about it. See if you need to keep any sort of documentation, etc..

He didn't send you what you paid for.....so you have a vaild claim with your credit card. Do it today!!!!

Ok, I will call right now and do it. Should i make copies of the tickets and everything before i return them? Thanks!

You can use UPS but the most official way to ensure that someone got your piece of mail is CERTIFIED MAIL. Sure UPS will take a signature if you ask, but they keep it. To get it you have to talk to them to get it.

Use certified mail as it's what the corporate world uses with important documents. The receiver has to sign the copy and then the copy of the signature is sent TO YOU! YOu have it in hand! YOu can take it WITH YOU! in to the store!

I would DEFINATELY put this on my CC and dispute the charge. In fact, inform him that you are going to do so. As a person who manages a business, the company has to pay a penalty when you dispute one of their charges. So even if you dispute it, he's not going to get the money and THEN he has to pay a penalty! I would tell him you are going to send them back via certified mail and dispute it with your CC. I would urge him to refund before you send them back as he is the one lacking integrity in this situation.

Oh, and another thing, from experience in a big business.

Don't let him conn you into saying that refunds take 6-8 weeks. If you paid Via CC they can put your payment back on your CC (refund) in seconds. It's when they have to process checks that take so long. CC refunds are instant!

Yes! Make copies of everything! Also, get the names and positions of everyone you talk to, even the CC personnel. Take notes of your conversations. Document everything and make them aware that you are doing just that.

Good Luck!!

Send them back (yes, certified seems best for a signature), and dispute your charges on your credit card.

Once they have them (and sooner if he can void them from his end) tell him to put through an immediate credit. Your issuing bank for the CC can take a bit to push the credit through, but hound them as well.

Also, if they claim it was credited to your card, depending on your billing cycle can take 2-3 cycles to appear on your statement. Doesn't mean you didn't get the credit, just may not show up immediately. Keep contacting the issuing bank of the card and make them assure you it was done.

United States Postal Service now has a Signature Confirmation service and tracking services separate from Certified Mail.

Take a deep breath, things probably aren't as bad as they seem. Since you've done business with them before, and you've talked to the owner who said he would either send you new tickets or refund your cc, it sounds like you're going to get resolution on this. Do you still WANT the 5 day tickets at that price? If so, wait to contact the cc and send the tickets back and ask that replacement tickets be sent overnight. If you just want the money, ask that it be credited to your account right away. You have 30 days to file a grievance with your cc company, so I would wait a week and see what happens. He is probably correct that he can't send you a 1 day ticket---I thought those are only available at WDW in person (can't buy them ahead of time). Are they listed on the website? I know you're mad, but sometimes mistakes happen--give them a chance to fix it. It doesn't sound like you're going to be out any money on this...try to think happy Disney thoughts. :earsboy: For all you know, they might send you an extra something as a "we're sorry" gift.

I agree. I just bought Seaworld tickets from these guys and picked them up in person. If I remember correctly hthis place was located next to a Chevron station. They seemed to be doing a legitimate discount ticket business and not a timeshare scam like you see so much of down there.

Make sure you keep record of your conversation with the business, send the tickets back as instructed and send them certified mail. For a credit card dispute the company does have at least 30 days to apply a credit to your credit card. By starting a dispute now you will be able to have the amount of the tickets left out of any balance a finance/interest charge is billed on. The first step in a dispute process is to allow the merchant/company an opportunity to fix the problem. If the problem is not fixed, then you can dispute the charge and the credit card company can do a charge back on the merchant/company. Give the company a chance. They may not really be trying to rip you off, but I know it is easy to jump to that conclusion.

Don't worry. First of all, you have 60 days to file a written chargeback with your credit card company. Just send the tix back ups ground (insured). Buy your tix from wherever else you want. If he doesn't refund, just chargeback - your cc will stick with you, you are their customer. I'm sorry if I have repeated - I didn't read the other posts.

This is exactly why Disney does not discount any of their tickets...........so that if you do see discounted tickets, you should raise an eyebrow and take note that it may be suspicious.

I thought they didn't discount their tickets because they know that no matter what they charge their parks would be full of people.

Hi sweetpeakaris, you and I traded e-mails about this company on Saturday but I hadn't ordered my tickets yet. I just called them to find out exactly how this promo is supposed to work. They said I would receive a 5 day ticket instead of the 4 day ticket. I told them about your problem and said I didn't want this to happen to me, etc. They said it was just a mistake on their part. It sounded like the whole office has learned a lesson about this particular promo...sorry it had to happen at your expense though. I have to agree with some of the other posts, that these guys will make things right with you and send the 5 day tickets. Mistakes do happen, but I sure would have been upset too. Can't blame you for that! Good luck and keep us posted as to what happens.

Your answer may ring true..........I got my information however while reading up on the local "vendors" who push free tickets on patrons of hotels and convenience stores in the area. The article I read stated that Disney legally cannot do anything to stop those stores since in my cases they are on private property and ARE eventually going to give away discounted or free tickets. So to help protect the consumer, to know whether Disney endorsed that vendor or the tickets therein, Disney does not offer ANY free or discounted tickets. Therefore, you know when getting into something like that whether Disney is cutting anyone a deal........................while rather, it lets you know that the deal, if there is one to be is coming from the Vendor and is not affiliated with Disney.

I sure will keep you posted, I shipped the tickets back today. Please let me know what happens when you purchase your tickets. Thanks!

Just wanted to post this info as it might help some of you out. Went to the Officialticketcenter site and they do indeed have the promo listed buy 4 day ticket get free upgrade to 5 day ticket. As I am always a sucker for a good deal I had to check out the prices....$194 for the adult 4 day and $155 for the childs 4 day, we need 2 adults and 1 child which would be $543, right? Okay so then I switch over to Disney's site and a 5 day adult is $193 and the childs 5 day is $155, may charge more at the gate, not sure have never bought them at the gate. Here is a little info some of you might not be aware of, you can go to your local Disney store and buy the tickets for the price on the web and have your tickets already in hand, they activate them right at the register in the store. This is what we did last year. If I am doing my math correctly, that is $1 less than the officialticketcenters 4 day ticket plus you save the shipping and handling charges and you are already dealing directly with Disney so you know the tickets are legit.

Hope this helps someone!
