Anyone else get psyched for their trip AGAIN when confirmation comes?

OK, I called MS almost 2 weeks ago for ressies in early December. DH assured me that "If they say you're in, you're in", although at that time, only OKW and BCV (where I made my ressies) had openings. I've been so afraid for the last 2 weeks "Well, what if they forgot to put my dates in and I don't really have reservations and then when I finally realize I never got a confirmation, I call and they're already booked?" (Can you tell I worry too much?) Yesterday my confirmation came in the mail and I was so excited. DH couldn't understand why I was excited yesterday, after all I've already had the reservations for 2 weeks. But somehow, seeing it in black and white-NOW it's real! Please tell me you understand-DH doesn't.

When you call be sure and write down your confirmation number, they should give that to you when you call. I always make my reservations 11 months out, so it is a little tough to get excited over the confirmation when it comes. I understand why you may get excited, I remember when I used to get pumped up about going down there, and I did this last time when I went in January and got out of this terrible winter we were having here. About a month away from going I really started to feel good about going down there. I am no longer a Disney nut like I used to be, I kind of miss those days, but it still is a joy to get out of the cold and go to WDW. Have fun on your trip, I see from your posts you sometimes go alone, you must really enjoy the place.

I can totally relate!

We always get excited when we get our conformation! We watch the Disney Vacation Video and play our Disney tunes on the CD player. I'm excited just thinking about our trip in July!!

I guess I'm kind of like you...I want that conformation letter, then I know for sure we're in and there won't be a problem with our dates, etc.

Definitely get excited when that confirmation letter comes in the mail....makes it feel one step closer to being there!!!!

I always get excited when anything Disney comes in the mail. In fact, one day we got someone else's confirmation letter in the mail (someone from the same street).

DH told me that because we get something just about every day from Disney that the mailman probably didn't even look at the address, he probably just assumed it was ours. I actually had to chuckle at that because he was probably right!

lol......We've been going to WDW for 15 years and I still get excited when the confirmation comes. I got excited before we bought into DVC and I still get excited as a member.
Just thinking of WDW makes me smile.

I STAY excited throughout the process ...even at 11 mos out! Heck, I'm excited now planning a trip next August and that's a good 4 mos from me even being able to make a ressie!

I never feel safe until I see the reservation in writing, and even then... I then start to wonder what room we'll have, or if I should call back and specify another request. I'll look at the letter over and over in the months that follow, as if to make sure it's still where it should be, still correct! THEN... I get excited all over again planning the PS for meals! I am a huge scheduler (not commando-style -- I do have leisure days, it's just that they're SCHEDULED leisure! MY dh thinks I'm NuTs ....probably am, but at least I'm a HAPPY, excited nut!) I make up itineraries for packing on EXCEL...I make up our PS list and activities list in MS Word... the planning and anticipation is probably (for me) even better than the vacation, if you can believe that!
