Anyone else get emotional during WISHES?

I get emotional during Wishes too, we saw it 3 times on our last trip. The last night in the parks we made sure to see it and both me and my son cried like babies since it was our last night being there. When we walked through the main gates to leave, heading toward the ferry we turned around and saw Mickey on the balcony of the train station,he was waving to and thanking everyone for coming to see him, this only made myself and my son cry a lil harder lol The 2 other times that we saw Wishes on our trip...Mickey didn't come out to wave so I told my son that Mickey knew we were leaving and wanted to say good bye to us.

Mickey was on the balcony saying goodbye on our last night there. I took my son up as close as you can get and we blew kisses to Mickey and he blew a kiss back to us. It was such a magical moment! I will remember it always. I think that it is great that Mickey waits outside to say goodbye to the guests. One night, there were also cast members with signs saying, "See ya real soon!"as you exited the park. It is a great way to end a day at MK. I get teary eyed just thinking about it.

Add me to the list! I never was this emotional before the kids but now it just doesn't seem to take much, especially when we're at WDW! I can't wait to go back!!!

Its a combination of a wonderful show and being in the place that makes me happier than anywhere else. I also tear up during Spectromagic. Something about the music. It is just magical! I miss it already!

Yes, I tear up during Wishes! It's that whole wish upon a star, dreams come true thing--I tear up just thinking about it! It's truly a magical show. I thought I was a little...goofy :) for crying, now I guess I'm pretty normal!

QUOTE: I cry too, over the Kodak movie at the beginning of "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience."

I thought I was the only one who got choked up during the Kodak movie!!

I saw Wishes for the first time with my husband in August. He was able to come home on R&R with 3 days notice, so we planned a quick trip to WDW (the Sunday after Charley). Saw it the first evening we were there... Jeez, it makes me tear up just thinking about it - but I think it's just that much more special because I got to share it with him...

I love wishes and cry everytime I see it.

Those who mention the Kodak movie at HISTA, it was different when we were there in June--I was so disappointed!!!

Me too! At first I thought the music was a little sappy, but by the end of the show I was crying.

Illuminations also makes me cry, but for completely different reasons. The music is wonderful and of symphonic quality -- the speakers in Epcot don't do it justice. For a while I listened to the CD almost every day.

Well, I am a big cry baby anyway, so I can tell from your posts that I am going to cry when I see Wishes for the first time!! (I have watched it on the computer once). I am such a wimp that I get a little teary eyed at the end of the Disneyland Fun video when they show the castle and the fireworks! People are going to think I am crazy!

Oh goodness! I guess I'll warn DH now, I'm a sap. Everything makes me cry!

I cried on our last day of our trip to Disneyland Paris - I hate leavin there!!

A big ditto from me! What really gets me is that last bit where the little girl sings her last part and the choir booms in. Chill city! I watch the video on this site at least once a week, and I always end up with that emotional charge that only comes from Disney. Honestly, how do they do it??

LOL- I started BALLING and we were with some friends and they all looked at me like I was crazy!!I had to put on my sunglasses when it was over, which then made me look even crazier!!

ME, TOO!!

Chills and choking up and tears rolling right down my cheeks! The lyrics, the script, the music, the sentiment is pure Disney magic! I bought the CD and play it while commuting to work to start my day with a smile.

When the Blue Fairy says to all put our hearts together and make a wish...I most certainly did! :D

I'm going with 3 friends from work in December - they've never seen Illuminations, Spectro, or Wishes - they will think I am nuts! I can't even make it through Fantasmic without getting teary - or the movie about Walt Disney at MGM/Disney. I'm sitting at my computer listening to the Brother Bear soundtrack and hearing "On My Way" just makes me want to get on a plane tomorrow!

Yep, a tear does occasionally stream down my cheek, especially when my six year sings along with the little girl in the Wishes music.
