I am the original poster, and I wanted to point out a few things:
1. We were on the 4-day Wonder, so we didn't have the Adult series or all the backstage tours offered on our trip. Plus our only Port (besides
Castaway Cay which was great

) was Nassau. We planned on spending the day on the ship, but there were virtually no activities being offered during the day. We explored the ship stem to stern, watched the lifeboat drill for 45 minutes, and even took a quick dip in the pool. We did eventually get off the ship in Nassau, but only for about an hour. I was so uncomfortable with the surroundings, the people, and how run down and depressed the area was that I got right back on the ship. The whole area just made me incredibly uneasy.
2. I enjoy reading a good book and relaxing as well. However, I am of the mentality that I can do these things at home for free. I don't want to pay $2,000 to sit in a deck chair and read all day (although I do realize that to many people, this is their idea of a vacation). That is why WDW works so well for my DH and I. We relax in the afternoons at the resort, but the mornings and evenings are filled with things to do.
3. My problem with the activities was that they were all scheduled at the same times. There wasn't a whole lot going on in the afternoon, but at night we had to pick and choose what we wanted to do. I wish things would have been more spread out during the day. Also, I wish they would have offered a few more behind the scenes things on the 4-day because that is the type of thing that interests me.
I am glad to see though that other people feel the same way as me! I enjoyed the cruise and will probably do it again in the future. However, I don't think it is something I would need to do every year (like WDW) but every 3-4 years.
