I'm not going to worry about what is or isn't covered by the free dining plan, I just want to read more dining reports and see more pics of the food! :cool1:

I figure that I'll find out for sure when I get there. I am not shy and will be telling every TS waiter that I am on the dining plan and ask if they can help he out ;). If something's on the plan, that's cool! If it's not (like add-on lobster at YSH {boo!!!}) then c'est la vie. There's a lot more to eat in The World.

My husband and I were planning to go to WDW in September before we found out about the "free" dining. I was planning to stay at a resort off site. Once I found out about the dining offer, I moved my reservation to AKL. Disney's marketing plan worked on us...hook, line and sinker! :teeth:

I really don't care if certain dishes aren't offered...as long as there is a fairly decent selection of foods that are offered, I'll be more than happy with the arrangement.

Bring on the food pics!

We just got back and we weren't ever told we couldn't have anything...I guess it just depends on the server. The only thing we had to pay extra for was the glowing ice cubes at Coral Reef. Which I thought was odd considering it was 2 ts credits per person and the Concourse Steak House had included them.

I agree! We were going in Sept anyway and the free dining was just a plus. I don't expect the free dining to cover everything we want to eat and if we see something we want that's not covered, we'll just pay a little extra. Considering most of our food will be free, it won't be that big a deal. Uhmm! Let's see, Fiesta margaritas, German beer, French wine flight, English ale, churros, funnel cakes, dole whips, frozen lemonade, the surcharge at Planet Hollywood, chocolate moose from the kid's menu at Le Cellier, an anniversary cake at 'OHannas, chocolate covered strawberries at DTD. Uh! Oh! It may be more than I thought.

I'll be posting reviews when we get back in October...I never did post our May reviews...figure it is a little late now! :)

I'm with you. This is supposed to be a vacation, for Pete's sake! Who can possibly eat all that food every single day anyway? Missing out on a item here and there is just fine with me. :)

YES YES yes...more reviews! more pictures! Less arguing about adult vs child credits...not enought appetizers...who gets what...ahhhahhh it is enough to make me crazy (yes I know I don't have to read all those posts I guess I am just a masochist). I wish they would just officially change the darn plan to specify the rules and get it over with.

I'd rather more reports on what food was good, and not so good and less score cards totalling the dollar amount of food that they got under plan.

Oooh those extras sound good. I am going to follow you around. See you in September.

I agree...it is what it is and we have enough 'real' stress in our lives. I need to get to the World and relax. I'm not looking for the bang for the buck, I want to go eat, have fun and be with my family.

::yes::

agreed.

I'm with you. We purchased the dining plan (free starts two days after we depart). First, I was bummed that we missed on the free dining, then thought "oh well, won't miss what I didn't have". Then, I was trying to pool credits and thinking of paying for kids meals and trying to get all I could from the plan. It was stressing me out. My goodness this is a vacation. I have finally decided that we will just use our credits, won't try to work the system, get what we want, probably waste a lot of food and/or gain 10 pounds and ENJOY! :banana:
