Hi all!

I have been livstreaming much of the D23 Expo in the background for the past couple days, but today 9/11/22 is supposed to be the big one.

John D’Amaro is scheduled present “A Boundless Future: Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products.” (schedules for 10:30am Pacific Time on D23expo.com/live)

While there were a few suprises here and there (avengers campus expansion, etc), so far in my opinion there hasn’t been anything as groundbreaking and “WOW” as like the Galaxy’s Edge announcement a few years ago.

Any predictions?

Yes, we're with you. We will be watching to see what's announced. If it's good enough (as you noted) we'll chat about it on this week's episode.

I'll be watching the livestream today but I'm cautiously optimistic. I don't want to get my hopes too high. This is my personal list of what I'd like to see but I'm not holding my breath all of these will be announced:

- Tron opening date
- When Splash Mountain will close for Tiana retheme
- Dinoland retheme
- Reviving the 2 year Spaceship Earth refurb (which was cancelled)
- More information on Fantasy Springs; opening timeframe and showing the Peter Pan, Tangled and Frozen lands + rides.

I'm awaiting the same. I mean at the very least update us on Tron, they're not hiding the construction that we see on the People mover

Not too hopefully about Florida announcements… bets:

Opening timeframe for tron, Moana, maybe reopening for Fantasmic/train

Spaceship Earth reimagine announced in 19 back on the table and/or imagination overhaul

Splash mountain closing date

Possibly….. Dinoland reimagine, something in former stitches great escape and/or voyage of the little mermaid pavilion, more Aladdin IP in Morocco pavilion since Disney has its full ownership

All those are very meh if that ends up being the case. With a major park opening in a few years down the road you would think they want to take some hype away from it. From the sounds of things D23 is going to be very lackluster. The lack of leaks is very telling.

Those are just what I would like to personally see but most likely only Tron will be talked about in terms of WDW. I don't see anything big being announced that will open in time for Epic Universe. Truthfully I don't think Disney cares about Epic; they know people will come anyway. If nothing is mentioned for WDW, I would at least like to see more info about Fantasy Springs as I have now convinced my mom to do a Japan try when that opens; she loves Tangled and wants to see the Tangled area.
