I visited the site and am truly disappointed. Its just another link to the US board. I thought they would at least give us the prices in CDN dollars and that we would also have a Disney online shopping in CDN dollars with shipping from Canada instead to cut down on added expenses.

Any other Canadians disappointed or is it just me???!

I am disappointed as well. Thought that this site would've been more centered around the Canadian tourists. I can't see anything different other than in both our official languages. I wish we could get some breaks in money at par once in a while, instead of travelling there and losing almost half our money on the dollar exchange. Sorry for venting but l wish our dollar would go a little further down south. Anyways, l am going in May for ten nights for the first time, and l am very excited. I will definitely pick up some Tim Horton's coffee packages for the coffee maker in our room. I just can't go for that long without my favourite coffee!!!

I too am disappointed in this website since it is nothing more than a link to the American site. I don't think that we should expect too much from this site, especially since Disney is laying off thousands of employees. For this reason, I think that this website is only going to offer a bunch of disguised information that we are already aware of, so that it seems as if Disney is offering promotions and marketing information to its Canadian customers. Not that I am not grateful that Disney has created a website exclusively for Canadians, I just don't see what their true purpose in the website is. It would have been nice if Disney recognized the huge volume of Canadian visitors to its theme parks, by offering the same promotional and marketing discounts that are offered to American customers. I guess we'll have to wait and see if this website is successful or not - in my opinion it is not!

I have to agree with everyone, I had been waiting for this website but once it was launched I was not all that impressed. All of the info can be found on the u.s.a. website. Hopefully in the future it will contain info specific to us Canadians. As it stands it seems the only "canadian" info is that regarding the buy one get one half price park hoppers ( good deal if you travel in the limited time period!) I am however happy that we were recognized - not all countries have their own Disney website!!
Have a groovey day!

I haven't spent the time to look at the new site yet, but I just wanted to say how nice it is to see Mickey Canada posting again. It's been a while since I've seen that great clipart! Welcome Back!

Canadian website...big disappointment :( Hopefully they will make it more oriented to Canadians in the future. Maybe some special pricing, tips etc.

I am dissapointed also in the Disney.ca. I was hopping that at least they had a section for shopping in ca$$$ with shipping from Canada... But I have one of those days when I am dissapointed in a lot of Disney services (or lack of). Why do we have to call Disney many times to obtain the best rate on rooms? Why when you try to contact them via email they often don't even respond? Why when they offer free shipping on orders of 50$ or more on the online shopping they still add shipping charges when you check out your purchases? ... Thank you to let me vent, like I said. this is one of those days when I wonder why I like Disney so much even if it let me down like that.

Okay, I've checked it out now, and all I can say is <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz"> Why did Disney go to all the time and expense of putting up a Canadian website if it's not going to offer anything different than the American one? Do they think we won't be able to find the U.S. one in order to get this info? It would be really nice if they would give us a little encouragement to come and spend our poor loonies down there. It's really hard for us to have to add an extra 50% to everything. It's already expensive enough to go there without that. All right, I've finished my vent. Thanks for listening, now if only Disney would listen ;)

I think the same. It is disappointing. They should offer incentives to Canadian visitors. It's a shame that they don't treat their northern neighbours like they their own neighbors. I only wish that we could get the secret codes and the discounts and the at par. Does Disney not make enough off their Canadian visitors to not offer this????

I registered and gave a login name and password, but I see where to use them. They also said they'd send me confirmation via email which they never did.

Hopefully they'll add some Canadian content (ie prices and such).

Just looked into it and was very disapointed! :( You'd think with our low CDN $ that they would try to give us some kind of break! I also registered and haven't received any information. Does Disney think us Canadians can't find our way to Disney and that we needed a link?
