Anyone else cruisin' on the Dream in 2011?

Our upcoming cruises will be our first since becoming DVC members. We are paying cash for the cruises (we booked them on our last cruise and got the onboard discount). I heard somewhere that there is some type of DVC reception on the ship. Is this on all cruises, or just the DVC member cruise? If it is on all cruises, is it open to all DVC members, or just those cruising on points?

Do most "pay cash" if they want to do a Disney Cruise instead of using points?

WE are!! August 16, 2011.

We'll be on board just a couple of weeks after you on August 28, 2011. I was psyched that I was able to upgrade our room from an ocean view to a stateroom with a verandah. And I was able to reserve an early dining slot as well!

We'll be taking our two nieces on 11/6/2011 and trying out the category 8C for this cruise. The price for our cruise has already gone up $160 since we booked, so much for rebooking on board in January.

We will be doing a 5 nighter in June, 2011 on the Dream, and then the members' cruise (hopefully) with a back-to-back either in front or in back of that. We booked the June cruise on points and will be paying cash for the others. The reports of the Dream just keep rolling in - - I can't wait to cruise on it!
