I made it to work this morning but it's really coming down. We might get to leave early.
Here in CT, that's all everyone is talking about. We're expecting anywhere between 6-14". After Friday's early dismissal debacle (a couple of bus accidents and our staff having a very difficult time getting home), it's almost assured we'll have no school regardless of exactly how much snow we get. The downside.....I have 10 tickets to Disney on Ice Wed. night to take all my nieces and nephews.![]()
I'm fairly positive that there will be no school tomorrow. DH & I made a grocery run yesterday and he just called and put in a Blockbuster order (Who knew he was interested in seeing "The Social Network"?). He even broken down and bought a snow blower at Home Depot yesterday ... Just what he needs. Another toy.
Sorry about Disney on Ice.That wouldn't even give us a 2 hour late start-we have had ONE snow day in 5 years. If the snow started in the evening, fell overnight, it would be plowed enough for school to start on time. We need about 12 inches dumped from about 3 AM to 6am for a snow day to get called![]()
This storm is supposed to start getting good after 1A and continue through the day on Wednesday. The kids are optimistic but not convinced. Our area has lots of hills and windy roads that dont see a plow till the main roads are clean.
( I will hit the store tonight, but since I just need to get some snacks, it wont be bad to get in and out! Stay safe everyone!
Groceries bought... we have gas for the snowblower.... hot chocolate and reading material.... all set! Just keeping my fingers crossed that we don't lose power since we're in the 10"-14" zone and are expecting 40+mph winds!!!
