Anyone else close since 11-16 and still NOT in system????

In the system??? I haven't even closed yet! Pardon me while I rant... I got my closing docs on 11/17 - overnighted them back so the closing company had everything from me on 11/20. The contract I am buying is owned by 3 people - a husband and wife and their son (who is apperently in college). The husband and wife sent their notarized docs back right away. So all of us have now been waiting for over 2 full weeks for this young man to take time out of his very busy life to return documents. I'm sorry, but personally I think that the parents should have a little talking to with this young man.

On the bright side, I called this weekend and I can still get in to Saratoga for my January vacation or I can trade points out for Yacht Club or Animal Kingdom Lodge... so my vacation is still a real possibility. I just can't even describe how frustrated I am. And now I'm totally regretting that I didn't buy direct from Disney.

Update... yup I'm still waiting to close. BUT I have my vacation booked for January!!!! I got some pixie dust! (Or maybe it is magic from the Year of a Million Dreams)

I do want to say that for those of you who choose to do business with the Timeshare Store, you are dealing with some wonderful, genuinely good-hearted people.

I'm very happy for you. I was starting to feel guilty that I complained it was taking so long to get in the system while you were just waiting to get your closing started. I truely hope you get into the system ASAP. From your last post before this one, I gather the TSS helped you out in someway which doesn't surprise me in the least. They are a top notch outfit who it seems always does right by their customers. I'm so glad I used them myself. Congrats again.

I am now in the system and received my DVC guidebook yesterday, but no member card. I leave in 10 days and want to buy annual passes when I get there.

We also received our DVC welcome kit yesterday but also have not received our membership cards yet. We are going at the end of Jan so we have some time but we also want to buy annual passes. Please keep me advised if you get any further info on the membership card.

I got a 2007 planning book that gives you the points needed for the different resorts, but that is it. Is there more to the member kit?

I did get my membership card this week.

We closed on the 12th! TTS was very accomodating also when I called for an update, Jamie went the extra step to find out when the seller mailed the documents (closing had to occur by the 14th). And Brenda with Timeshare Closing called when the paperwork was completed. Both companies are very professional and I would highly recommend!
