anyone else checking the computer obsessively for new codes?

And, the biggest and best "Packaged" discount for rooms and UPHP tickets for Disney will hit the market right before Mother's Day weekend. So yes, your travel agent was correct.
Humm....I think the words " get free nights" might be part of the promotion.......we'll just have to wait and see what excatly that means. I do know it'll be for vacations for July 4th through the end of October and you'll only have about six weeks to book this in.

Sounds like they are big on PACKAGES with this next round of discounts. Have you heard anything about room only discounts?

I have been spending far too much time checking for new codes. My husband is concerned and is considering setting up an intervention for me.
:teeth:

I hear you! I have no reason to be checking for codes but I'm here several times a day, reading and hoping that those of you waiting have heard good news. I've been reading these forums for quite some time but decided to come out of lurkdom to comment.
Do you think we could hold the intervention at WDW?

This is about all the excitement I can take!

:earseek:  :earseek:

"Very Pleased"....."Possibly Blown Away" . . . holy moly!

Is this gonna be Disney's verson of "Shock & Awe"??

Part of my sister's job is to read the local newspaper everyday (she's the communications coordinator for her company) - I'm going to tell her to go straight to the Travel section EVERYDAY!

I too had the same experience with CRO! They hinted to watch the news and papers for a huge announcement. I can't wait! We too are traveling in October... I wish I knew the AP rates to see which would be the better deal, but who knows?!

I am going crazy, I get up at 4:00 a.m. to get ready for work so I will check then. The CM I talked to Sunday said to call on Thursday, but not before.

I have a conference to go to tomorrow and it is driving me crazy. I have tried to get out of going but "no" they won't let me. I will be there from 1:00 until about 8:00 or so tomorrow night.

I am leaving my cell phone number with two other secretaries and I put mousesavers on their under faviorite on their computers. I was afraid to try to teach them disboards. Neither get on the internet very often.

If they call me I will call my daughter and she can take care of it I hope if she is not to busy. Let's hope for some room only deals since we got our passes for Christmas.

Good Luck to all.

Just a bump from one of the crazys here. If I miss these codes You will actually see tears on this thread. :p

Hi gang,

Don't worry the new WDTC discounted package will be available for everyone to book online and will be advertised there. So, my suggestion is to log on to www.DisneyWorld.com to book it next week and you won't miss out on a thing. <BG>

Happy booking...

Thats great about the pkg. , but I have my passes already and need room only. I hope they come out with something for us AP holders!. They will have me there at least twice this yr.:jester:
First time I did the AP thing hope I dont wish I didnt get them. With my luck the great codes will only be for pkgs.

Dalpal. . . We're in the same boat! Already have room-only reservations and are not interested in a package (have no need to get hopper-plus tix, as kids are too young for water parks and won't be using the other options). However, maybe it will be too good a deal to pass up! Wonder if it will be a better deal than typical AP rates for value season?!

Hi Dalpal,

If your planning a summer or fall trip you may want to book a room right now. Book something you can afford to stay at even without the discount, cause with the new discounted package that they are releasing their may not be any rooms left to discount. After all as you probably already know they only discount a certain amount of rooms at each resort and once their gone their gone and it won't matter waht code you've got.

Something is up. I just spoke with CRO and she did say something was coming out. She said to call AS SOON as I see an advertisement. I asked about tomorrow and she said she couldn't say much but to look for something around May 7.

I already have my rooms booked. Did it in Dec.
If I already have the room and get a code, do I have to worry about not being able to apply it to my room. Will they run out or can I just call and have them put the discount on my already made res.?

I have received several e-mails from Disney. Last month I got another one and posted it on these boards. I made sure it was okay to do so and it was because the code was open to everyone and did not require a pin.

If someone receives the e-mail next week and it does not require a pin can you please post your info or e-mail me or PM me?

We will be on our way to Florida on the 7th and I would like to see what this new offer is going to be. We are taking some family members in October and if this is a package deal that is a really great value I will book it as soon as it comes out.

Thanks.

Don't worry about something getting posted. If there is one thing I have learned since reading these boards is that everyone is more than happy to help each other out.

It is like a family that lives far away and you don't get to see but you know they will be there for you if you need them.

A CM told me that Disney Visa holders should call on May 1 for discounts.

Us too! I really don't want a package, but I wonder if this is a new marketing ploy. Most repeat/mutiple yearly trip visitors book things a la carte, to save money. Many who only go once, or once in a while book packages. I guess we will have to see how "possibly blown away" we are by the deals.

I know I will be checking tomorrow for a possible Disney Card discount on the website though. Although that seems to be a package too!

Count me among the many who have AP's and need a room only reservation. I am so intrigued by the wording used by the cm's and Mmketeer. It really does sound like it is going to be something like we have never seen from Disney in the past. I can't wait...it feels like the 7th will never get here and who knows if that is even the correct date? My husband may divorce me if I spend much more time on the computer. I swear, he really thinks that I need help!

I got my Disney Visa newsletter today and it has a package listed but it is the Dreammaker package at a Moderate for 3 nights. I do not want a package, I hope there is something better than this on the webpage.

I just checked on line disney visa and it is for a package but not for room only which is what we need.

Oh well maybe something else will come out.

Kathy

Yes, it seems like the Disney Visa offers are pretty limited. They were for golf or a package at the moderates or AKL. I really hope that I won't regret buying an AP. I guess we will begin to find out in a few days!

Okay, don't know if this is reliable but here's what he said.....
When the marketing campaign hits- it might likely have specific discounts for the state you live in ( I think last year some of the southern states had specific codes) and it will be for room only discounts. He said to check the entertainment section of you newspaper, www.disneyworld.com, and that it would be heavily advertised on abc/espn. I think the room discounts won't be limited to southern states- just that's how he mentioned it. While I was talking to him he updated my profile and asked for my email address- so maybe if you guys call and request them to check to see if your email is in your profile- you might get some offers via email as well. Hope this helps!

Anxiously awaiting September codes! But I was encouraged to hear he mentioned room only codes.
Tara
