I know it's still disney and a vacation so i shouldn't complain, but after waiting 5 years to go and then find out it's going to rain most of the time is a big downer. It seems like every time i go to disney theres lots of rain. During my last trip there was a tropical storm, the time before that a hurricane. I need to start doing the rain dance and make the sunshine come out!!! lol

Don't put stock in the weather forecasts this far out. It can change in an instant and it's best to check just a day or so in advance. :)

you are absolutely right! weather is constantly changing. ive been trying not to look at it so much but i cant help myself lol

For me rain is great. The showers are usually short but tend to clear the park out. Just pack an extra change of clothes, put swim trunks under your regular clothes and treat ever ride like a water ride.
One of my best childhood memories is a rain soaked day - made it seem more magical.

Looking at Orlando, I don't see any rain next week...what days are you going?

Hope it's nice for you! I know how disappointing it can be when the weather doesn't cooperate!

It always rains in Orlando. Every trip I have had, even as a child, it has rained. Just poncho up and enjoy the short lines:umbrella:

Next week doesn't look bad - you should be here this week!!!! Has been overcast and dreary since we arrived Tuesday. Drizzled, rain showers Tues. no rain, just overcast wed. and Thurs. Started raining last night and is still raining today. Should start clearing up about Mon.

We are not rainy day park people so have not been out today - will go out later for dinner at Trails End. Are here for two weeks with AP's so not worried about today staying in. Was sooo cold and windy yest. Should be in the 80's next week!!

I will wish pixiedust: for both of us!!!!

We were there last week and forecasts called for low 60s our arrival day and then warming as the week went on. We packed accordingly, as we were coming from Boston in a blizzard 60's was "nothing" to us! Well, it poured buckets the 3rd day of our trip late in the afternoon and continued ALL night. Dipped into the high 40's- low 50's that night. MK cleared out!! 7DMT was less than 20 minutes as was Anna and Elsa M & G!! We embraced it while others flocked out of the parks. So, if it is lousy weather, you will have that as a positive. Oh, after the rain it was picture perfect clear blue skies the next 2 days, but....in the 30's and 40's in the mornings and only warmed to barely 50 during the day!

My point is, do NOT rely on the forecasts. And pack for a variety of conditions. Oh, also keep your ponchos with you, don't leave them in the hotel (yes we inadvertently did this!) I refused to purchase the $9 ones so after DHS before heading to MK we went back to get them.

It is Disney, have a magical time!!

That's so crazy how fast weather changes. This morning it was saying thunderstorms just looked now and it's saying partly sunny lol
I'll be there March 7-13

Don't trust the weather until the day before. I've seen the forecast change from cool with thunderstorms to warm and sunny within two days!

I just looked and via MSN Weather it's showing 81-83 Mon-Thur, 68-70 Fri-Sat and 65 Sun and AccuWeather is showing 81-83 Mon-Tues, 86 Wed-Thur, 71 Fri, 76 - Stray Shower, Sat 76 - Stray Shower and 74 -Occasional Rain Sunday. That sounds pretty good to me.

Our first trip in 2010 called for rain everyday too, and we only got a light shower ONE EVENING. Other than that the other 7 days were beautiful.

Weather at WDW is a fickle beast. :)

I looked last night and it said sun for 8-10 this morning it's back to rain lol I need to stop checking so much! I'm just trying to figure out what to pack as I leave next weekend and I'll be in class all week.

I live an hour south of Disney, Friday it said 80% chance of rain for today, yesterday it said 90%. I was like "yes" a day to clean and maybe watch a horror movie. Nope now it says 40%. If you get rain, find a place to hang out and watch the park empty. Typically it doesn't rain long. Just check weather channel before leaving your room and if you have a smartphone download TWC app. For location you can use Walt Disney World.

Just looked again and per MSN 80's Mon-Thur and 70's Fri-Sat. Where I live it's currently 17 and the highest temp in suppose to 38 on Wed. I need this break from the Midwest winter.

I recall being at HS in December in 2008. It was really warm in the morning and I wore shorts. Then mid-morning the sky opened up. I'm not sure I've ever seen it rain as hard as that before or since. The temperature dropped and I was freezing. The boats were suspended and there's no busses to the Boardwalk where we were staying. So we decided to walk back to the resort (takes 20-25 minutes) in the rain. We were freezing and soaked but by the time we got back to the resort, the rain had stopped (of course). So we had a hot shower, changed, went down to the Boardwalk to the Big River Grille. By that time the temperatures had increased again and it was sunny so we sat out on the patio, had a beer and people watched for a while. Then after relaxing for a bit we went back to HS. It was actually a really nice break and we had a great day. Basically - don't assume that it will rain all day and that your day is ruined as a result. Just relax and go with the flow. If it rains, find something alternate to do. Don't be so stuck on your plans that you let the weather or anything else interfere with the pleasure of being on vacation.
