It seems like such a long way off. We booked while onboard at the beginning of the month. Wanted that onboard credit! Just wondering if anyone else has that long to wait until they are making magic with Mickey again. :Pinkbounc

We are getting ready to book for July 2004. It seems forever but it takes that long to save $$$$$$$$$$$.

It will be my family's 3rd cruise and we are bringing my sister and her family along for their first cruise. We booked onboard when we were on our 9/02 cruise and then when the remainder of 2004 opened up we switched our reservation and still get the $200 onboard credit. Now I just hope AAA will still offer the free mugs in 2004 like they did last year and I will switch my reservation over to them.

What type of cabins did you book????

I'm thinkging about the Aug 28, 2004....

we got the 22/24 rooms.
Last time I checked for a friend that wanted to go all te SPR's were gone already.

Bummer...that's what we have this time...and I didn't reserve them until 1 year out.....Maybe I'll have to splurge for a port hole room.....LOL

We are booked for 8/14/04, SPR #5020. We also rebooked on-board and switched our reservation the day the books opened up for August, 2004.

So glad to read there are other "planners" booking so early!. Thought I was the only obsessive out there LOL.

We are booked on the 4 night Wonder cruise August 22, 2004.

My daughter will be 14 when we go and would love to find another family with a daughter around that age so my DD would know someone before we go. Anyone?

Perhaps we could all start a support group for this loooong wait. I want to go now!

We are also booked for Aug. 14, and DAWNL, hope to meet
you because 'you took our secret porthole room' (just joking;)
honestly, all the secret porthole rooms were booked, this
will be the first time on a Disney ship without one. (we did
wait-list for a secret porhole cabin - they are the BEST!)
After two years on Disney ships, this year we are 'trying'
RCCL, but we'll be back on Disney Aug. 14, 2004 with our
new found friends from our last cruise.

Not August 04 but Sept. 04!!! We normally go in July but saved SO much $ that it was worth it to wait till 9/04!! This will be our 3rd cruise!!!! ONLY 592 days to go!!!!

We are booked on the 8/28-9/4 2004 cruise. There are 19 people in our group. At the time of the cruise the children with us will be: DS 12 1/2, DD 10, DNeice 10, DNephew 11, DNephew 8.

We have three of the SPR for the 8/28/04 cruise (5020,22,24). We booked them the day they released the dates. We stayed in one on the last week of August last year (02) and they are GREAT! I told a friend to who wants to go to try for the ones on the other side, but it sounds like they are all booked and even have a wait list already! It's such a long way off I can't stand it! Glad there are other people in the same boat so to speak.
Caren;)

and when I checked 5520 was also taken. We had 5520 in Sept of 02 and it was great.

We will be party of eight Me, DH, DD(9), DS (6), and my sister and her DH, DS(8) and DD(4)

We have some Aug 14'ers and some Aug 28'ers and a Wonder. I am booked for Aug 14 and have toyed with switching to the 28th because it is so much cheaper. But my daughter's birthday is on the 20th and I thought it would be cool for her to celebrate onboard. And since ALL the SPR seem to be booked that won't be a deciding factor. Thanks guys!! We booked for Cat 8 deck 7 aft. Our 1st 2 cruises we had Cat 6 & Cat 5 Verandahs. This month we had a Cat 8 porthole on deck 6 aft. I thought I would really miss the verandah, but I was okay about it. The cost difference was just too much to justify.

So, do you want to start a little group? We may be scattered through Aug '04 but I don't think that matters. We are the pioneers.

I have learned so much from this board and really enjoy checking in to see what is happening. Maybe it will make the time go faster.

Anyone interested?

So I am -I live in Burlington Township - where are you.

winnyis,
My group is myself, DH, DD-10,DS-7. My BIL is in the other two cabins with DW, DS-7, DD-4, DS-15, they booked the two SPR adjoiners instead of a family stateroom and it was much cheaper.

On our last cruise this past August we were calling it the East Coast Cruise because EVERYONE seemed to be from New Jersey, New York or MASS. It looks like the same might be true again in 04.

WINNYIS - Hello! I am further south in Gloucester County, Williamstown is 1/2 way between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. We are practically neighbors. Is your DD 4 now or when you sail? My DD is 5 now.

CAREN90 - I know what you mean about the East Coast connection. Last Aug we were in WDW and EVERYONE was from NJ PA NY MD. It got comical. I thought cruising in Aug would probably be the same, everyone else has just started back to school. I'm still debating about switching to the 8/28 cruise.

Anyone have any suggestions on staying with the 8/14 or switching to the 8/28?

My DD is 7 now and my DS is 4 now. They will be 9 and 6 respectively when we cruise. My sisters kids will be 8(boy) and 4(girl) when we cruise

I know where Williamstown is - my mom used to live in Clementon.

As for which cruise to go on I think you should join me, Caren, and Elke on the 8/28/04. Your right in saying the price can be beat - I had originally priced the Haloween 04 cruise but when I saw the price for the 8/28 was only $200 more for the whole trip I thought that would be much better since my kids wouldnt miss any school .

Please do join us on 8/28!

Elke

P.S. I am right over the bridge from the Jersey group.
