This wind is horrible!! It was bad enough yesterday morning when I walked my DD to the bus stop. At least the temps then were in the 50's. Right now, the temps are in the 30's with wind chill in the 20's!!! :earseek: I have to leave in about 15 minutes....if I don't make it back to the boards by 9:15, kindly send out a search party!! :jumping1: :scared:

We had it yesterday. It was horrible. Today is much calmer.

Didn't help me sleep last night...windows rattling, things falling over outside (like our garbage can) and when I went to work this morning, I saw our flag pole had bent/broke. :(

It was so bad yesterday it blew our storm door off. DD didn't close it all the way and the wind caught it. The glass fell out, thank God it didn't break, but the door was bent and hanging from just the top. DH had to take the whole thing off. It has finally calmed down now.

All of our stuff seems to still be in our yard, but we now have some extra stuff from our neighbors yards. Do we get to keep that? Can we sell it back to them, or sell it on ebay now? Does anyone here want to by a green garbage can cover?

Karen

Still windy here - crazy weather.

The wind blew over our 7 year old Bradford Pear tree, but I think that it was diseased anyway, but it was so pretty:(

Yikes!!! It was bitter out there!!! :earseek: I should be doing laundry today but I think it's too windy to hang the clothes out!! Not unless someone who lives south east of me wants to return DH's boxers as they go flying by!! :teeth:

It's windy and bitter cold here today. Luckily I don't work on Fridays so DD and I are staying indoors. By the end of the day I will probably regret that decision;)

Yesterday was horrible driving. I had two trees come down while driving home from work. Luckily no one was hurt but they blocked the roads. Also in was recycling day so stuff was blown all over the place. I found our bin on another block:eek:

The wind got so bad last night that we had 3 (or more) electrical transformers actually blow up somehow. That was really scary--I heard 5 really loud explosions lots of flashing lights and then no power. Fortunately, we had power back in 2 hours (don't know how they did that) but I can't wait to get a look at these transformers in the daylight.

part of my roof blew off...I noticed pieces of it on the ground, and when I went outside to look at the roof, I noticed the 60 foot pine tree in the park next door, seemed to be leaning a little..I walked over to get a closer look and discovered that the roots on one side had torn and when the wind blew the roots were lifting about a foot off the ground,,I notified a boro employee and he chained the tree to the payloader to hold it down, had I not noticed it when I did it probably would have blown over crushing the Mickey Mobile...and yes I move the MickeyMobile to a safer location..this morning they climbed the tree, connected a cable and cut it down while pulling it away from my property with the payloader

The wind in PA is out of control!! We watched a cheetos bag be sucked up like it was in a tornado.

It's been like that for a couple days here in Indy. Good news though for those east of me, today it has calmed down a lot. So hold on tight a little longer, it'll be over soon.

Same here. The one good thing is that my neighbor across the street who has yet to pick up a single leaf this fall, is getting all of the leaves blown into their yard! My husband will be so happy when he gets home to see that!

Knocked our fence down. Today is much better.

Yesterday, DH and I saw a tractor trailer that was going westbound on the Thruway, and BLEW over the median and landed on it's side in the eastbound lanes.

THAT's a windy day.;)

is picking up leaves mandatory where you live ..?? they are natures mulch...

Horrible here yesterday and today.. Yesterday I heard a loud crash but I've yet to determine what it was..

This morning I was startled out of bed by yet another loud crash - flew to the window and saw that a large tree had come crashing down on the side yard.. Luckily the tree is actually on the neighbors property and FELL on his property so I don't have to try to figure out what to do with it - LOL...

I don't like strong winds like this - they really scare me.. :(

All of the leaves in the neighborhood were blown up to my front door. My DD fell off the front step because she didn't see the drop with all the leaves covering it. I called the townhouse people and they came over and moved the leaves from my front step and put them on the grass. Duh!!! This morning the leaves were all on my neighbors front step. What a bunch of idiots!!!

We had a lot of wind here the other night coming home from my youngest DS's basketball game. We had to dodge two downed trees and my 16 yr old was driving!!!
