Anyone else blowing away??!

Our power went out about 6 p.m. Wednesday night, didn't come back on until 10:00 the next morning. It was 56 degrees in the house when we got up....brrrrrr!!!

Our son's dog died yesterday, he was breathing but not moving so they took him to the vet and the vet said he was in a coma. He didn't make it. The vet thought it was head trauma, and the only thing they can figure is that the dog got hit in the head by something blowing through the yard during the high winds. They didn't have any tree limbs in the yard or anything so we have no idea what it could have been.

Yes, the winds were brutal! They woke me out of my sleep and my yard's a mess! Thank goodness they are starting to die down!

I'm sorry to hear about your son's dog. That is so sad.

We haven't had it down here but it did make the news last night. They showed people trying to walk down Boylston street in Boston and having a hard time. Then they cut to a suburb and said that trees had down a number of power lines and there were many people without power...cut to the firetruck...there is Medford on it. Well that is where I grew up...got on the phone to make sure mom and the fam had power still.
