I don't know that I'd call it a phobia. The sensations that coasters and thrill rides produce (high speed, sharp drops, being flung upside down) are fun for some people, unpleasant for others. It's not a phobia to want to avoid doing something that makes you physically uncomfortable.
Why stress out about it? Just tell your family that you don't feel well when you ride certain rides, and you're not going to do it. It's just a couple of rides out of the dozens in WDW theme parks, they can manage without you. Grab a soda or a snack and relax while they ride, or browse in a gift shop. It's your vacation, too.
Thanks Lynne! I'm really going to try and take that advice this time around!

) and I really don't even like Space Mtn. Truly, that pic they take at the end of EE showed my dd (5, yes 5, at the time) with her arms flung in the air and a HUGE smile on her face and me with my head buried under my arms.) After that experience, I was content to stand and take the pictures of the car coming out of the mountain while they rode it 75 more times.
Why, oh why couldn't they be renovating Space Mtn while we're there?!!
!) Does Splash have a chicken exit???

But, last year, I decided to try Splash Mt. and low and behold, it's my new favorite ride. (first time, I squeezed my DHs hand and panicked thru it all, so I didn't enjoy it at all.) But, When I got off...I was like, lets go again. I thought my whole family was gonna faint!
